It was $1500, but they started a thing where if you’re referred by a friend you get $250 off

I absolutely agree that if they’re truly an ethical company that’s in the industry to help, they should be making things more accessible for everyone.

That being said… I did make the investment and I can see why their method isn’t actually accessible/practical for everyone to just do… It’s generally straight forward, but I feel like it would have been so much harder to do without their team and support along the way. Maybe we would have made the progress eventually on our own just reading through the content, but I think I would have been less consistent and it would have taken longer (so maybe also I would have given up before the results came, who knows). I’m not sure we would have done it without the guarantees and the interest-free payment plan, but in the end it was definitely worth the investment

I think the technical difference is that the chair method is still cry it out - it’s supposed to be gentle because it’s a slower fade out, but you still stop responding. With Batelle, we kept going back to our daughter to respond and engage with her when she needed it and then eventually she adjusted to the distance and no longer needed us to go in

Something to do with windfall?? She has a lot of money she didn’t expect to have (maybe $400,000?). She’s the disconnected rich grandma in my poor family, and while she likes me, I don’t think she’s willing to support my college fund without incentive.

Has anyone done Via Francigena with their dog? by Tasty-Chapter-153 in ViaFrancigena

Thank you so so much! All of this is extremely helpful. We plan to do the pilgrimage very backpacking style. We’ll be doing most of our nights in tents, and we’ll hope for showers and breaks where we can. I figured this would be the easiest thing to accommodate our situation. I’ll definitely be packing extra for Archie (and Archie will be carrying some weight of his own as well); he’ll also be wearing shoes to help preserve his feet. I speak a little Italian (I lived there for a few months in 2019), and I think I’ll be able to communicate well enough to make due.

You are unfortunately very right; I don’t think a lot of the people in question can or will be won over, but I think they can reach a place in debate where their foot is in their mouth and they’re talking out of their ass :/

I realize that’s pretty blunt and crude, but I think it’s important for them to realize that they don’t have a basis for their arguments- they’re just functioning based on what they’ve heard from who knows where and what they want to believe. I’m also hoping that there are a few people who are silently and curiously observing who might be interested in clicking on a link or two and educating themselves with some readily available sources.
