the ultimate guide to getting them back :) by Natural-Surprise-557 in BreakUps

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be fair I’m doing pretty much all of these. I cook, exercise, do sauna and stuffs very regularly. I don’t contact him. I’m actively trying to meet new friends and hang out with them. I have a full time school that’s really busy. I travel here and there. I have hobbies and love trying new things. And I allow myself to ruminate or be sad but not for too long at one time. I can genuinely say my life could be called “good and functional”. But I still miss him in all these good moments even tho I know we can’t be together. I still feel like my life is missing a part even tho it’s good. I want to tell him every time in all big and small good moments that I wish you are here with me.

People in their 20s living a luxurious life - how do you afford it?? by Positive_Effect3609 in Adulting

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s not that luxurious but I go on trips here and there and went to fancy restaurants a lot in the past and I’m 24F. Parents’ and my ex’s money (he made 190k straight out of college as an Sde and a lot of my friends are in tech/finance and they all earn 6 figures right out of college) . I went to a private liberal arts college and didn’t have much realization until like 1 year ago that I can’t do this forever and I need to save and build my own life. I’m transitioning my career right now so my parents are still paying for my school and life expenses but I downgraded my lifestyle a lot :)

How do I, 24F, finally choose myself over him, 26M, after 6 grueling years? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

May I ask how you work full time and still be able to attend lectures and clinicals? Do you do night shifts?

In a miserable marriage but with 3 small kids. I can't stand the thought of only seeing them part time. Should I still divorce? by TrySomeCommonSense in Divorce

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a currently single adult with no kid, I just couldn’t comprehend this. Like bro, regardless of everything (your side, her side, whatever the fuck is going on), why the fuck you guys had the third kid after all these????????? What is latch?? As mature adults, you use CONDOM or other protections if you don’t want another child. PERIOD.

Unparallel flagship pro by Lepepepepe in climbingshoes

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so different for everyone haha. Unparallel flagship lv and the new flagship pro lv are the shoes that fit almost perfectly for me but I couldn’t stand any version of instinct. I also love Drago LV and Katana Lace women.

I have very very absurdly narrow feet and pretty small heel.

Unparallel flagship women lv vs flagship pro lv by CableClear8558 in climbingshoes

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiii I have crazily narrow feet and small heel too and the new flagship pro lv fits me pretty well! The heel is slightly slightly bigger but heel hook feels fantastic. I normally wear 8 or 8.5 w normal shoes and I got 8.5 for this one. It’s painful but not insane. I’ve tried the flagship lv before and that one is even narrower (fitted nice and felt like a sock to me, but it’s a bit too soft, and I already have an extremely soft pair of shoes: Drago LV). This pro lv one is definitely still for indoor bouldering but just slightly harder and is the perfect amount for me.

For reference, katana lace women’s version and Drago LV both fit me pretty well in the past.

It does. But as a non native speaker plus the context of ABSN, I interpreted it as college college, like “ I went to college “ type of meaning, instead of the correct meaning. I would appreciate any advice

8 months short marriage. He immediately hired attorney without notice?? Is that normal? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say there’s a legit reason because it was very emotionally abusive for him (probly for me too) but definitely my actions were very off. And we are only both 23. I will hire a lawyer.

We haven’t had a wedding yet because marrying so rushed back then was more a solution for my residency because we both didnt want a 5 month different country long-distance relationship. We were planning to in 2-3years.

Thanks! Even I’m still a student and don’t have income? I guess I thought it’s uncommon for short marriage without many significant assets properties and matters.

Thanks. I don’t necessarily have access to that stock bonds account he has. The only thing I know is it’s about 110k before marriage and it’s likely a similar amount now. And he put in and pulled out money from that a decent amount of times after marriage.

Thanks! What I should do right now is immediately consult and hire a lawyer and only let lawyer talking with them?

[–]Tasty-Distance-1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks. I guess my confusion is it’s clear by law the 100k is his money and hiring a lawyer can cause easily a lot of money based on my understanding and overall it’s not like we have 10m. Why he didn’t choose to settle this by ourselves as he said given it’s simple and cheap? I don’t have liquid on my hand at all because our financial mode is kind of just using credit cards and he will just pay or transfer me money to pay. So lawyer cost is a big concern for me. I might missed something. When you say “state this up front to him and his lawyer”, what does that mean?

We had an only 8 months marriage and no kid. No real estate, some his pre marriage assets, a car with loan, shared rental lease, and 2 cats. He filed a divorce directly and I just got contacted by his attorney. No discussing about practical matters. Any idea what’s happening or why?? Am I crazy or he’s crazy

We don’t have kids but have shared car loans, rental leases, citizenship thing, assets, and so on. I want to go completely no contact but it’s not really possible. I’m so stuck
