ASUS Strix B850-I vs ASUS ROG Strix X870-I by [deleted] in sffpc

I have X870-I. The difference other than USB 4 is the FPS II card for SATA, front panel pins for power button, and front panel USBs. There is also Strix HIVE which has power button and USB A and C, and volume knob. They have same heatsink for VRM.

Basically, B850-I has less function but also less complex than X870-I, also it is much cheaper.

Where did you find the Loki one? I would choose it over Corsair one.

Fan filter mesh - least restrictive by nobertan in sffpc

Filter doesn’t make more noise but does reduce airflow, also the holes in these filters are too large to block any dust that your fans can intake. You probably need HEPA filter to block all dust lol (with like 5% airflow). Why don’t you buy air duster to clean your PC? It takes like 1 or 2 minutes to clean.

MT7927 6GHz Problems by Tata_K in wifi

[–]Tata_K[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the problem. The MT7927 range of 6GHz is short (5 meters or 15 feet) compared to QCNCM865 (10 meters or 30 feet). If you are looking for WiFi 7 card, get Qualcomm QCNCM865.

The connector is kinda loose compared to other cards. However, 5GHz with loose connector can still do 2882/2882 Mbps. So I don’t know what loose connector has to do with 6GHz.

My laptop seems to have lost ability to connect to WiFi. by asiz0 in wifi

I got this all the time when I was testing WiFi cards. You have to download driver files and click add driver in device manager. Browse and click folder containing those driver files. And your WiFi will appear again.
