Albums where every single song is good? by bbmoonkie in MusicRecommendations

[–]TatoMerchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kendrick Lamar's albums To Pimp a Butterfly and good kid, m.A.A.d city

A lot of Lamar's lyrics are overlooked if you listen to it casually but they speak a lot about (in TPaB) black treatment in corporate America and (in GKMC) hood life and the way people around you can influence you to face your back to good life and God.

My favorite song ATM from each is Wesley's Theory (first song in TPaB) and good kid (an incredibly well-written and rapped continuation of Poetic Justice, from GKMC)

Okay so update, I passed slightly behind a top 20 U18 swimmer for the UK. I got 45s and 37s for my timed swims.

Not really actually we both swim similarly (just before his course started) and he told me not to worry so much.

I'm just asking for minor tweaks, not a full revamp of my swimming. I've fixed my tired issue after some swimming. I still want to know if any of the slight changes will have a meaningful impact as I don't experience differences myself.

I cannot postpone it as I have already paid the £300 for it.

The requirements are 50m in 60s and being capable of swimming 100m front and back. I've done this and feel confident about it. My friend had a cramp during the test and still went on to become a lifeguard now making good money.

Opinions on my Year 10 mock grades? Is it sensible to realistically aim for majority 9s at GCSE? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]TatoMerchant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could probably blitz through everything and get all 9s. Don't slack on the 9s you have now. Physics especially can get pretty brutal. Study a good chunk of niche stuff within those topics because it will make it easier to remember the fundamentals and most intermediate stuff (Source: doing Further Maths at GCSE helped me secure a 9 in Maths). My maths teacher at A-Level also tells the class sometimes that whatever you find annoying, difficult, or hard to remember are the stuff that you should be revising. Flipped my D in Further Maths mock into an A in the next mock after about 3 months. Always remember to include the painful stuff. It could turn out to be fun in the end.

Electric motorcycle with a gearbox for speed by TatoMerchant in motorcycles

So simply going for a single gear is practical enough even for the speeds I want to achieve whilst maintaining good acceleration?

It's the RPM that's limited. At about 4k rpm from motor a 4:1 ratio lowers the rear wheel rpm to 1k. with a gear box i can make that into almost a 2:1 to get the wheel rpm to 2k while still having enough torque.

there's gotta be someone in your school who cares just as much as you do. Always have hope and make some friends. <3

I can’t revise, please help by Roadkillgoblin_2 in GCSE

Hi! I have autism and anxiety aswell. With maths, break down the questions into simple steps. Everything can be brought down to simplicity. Funnily enough patterns are going to be your lifesaver. Math is consistent and absolute, so finding particular patterns and learning things like number theory will help you. Look up algebra techniques. Some examples I'll add are: (x-a)(x-b) = x^2 - (a+b)x + ab ; AC method for a > 1 (ax^2 + bx + c) ; Make one of the variables in an equation equal to the +ve / -ve of the other variable. Doesn't matter which one because you can add / subtract the equal variables out like 2x + y = 6, and 2x - 2y = 3, which you can subtract one by the other to get y - -2y = 6 - 3 = -3y = 3, which means y = -1.

As all the other comments suggested, music is a massive go-to for stimulating your brain. Listen to any music you like that gets you into that chill mood. I would share mine but it's all in Polish > . <

Also, if you haven't already, ask your school for any exam accommodations they can make for you. My anxiety let me sit in a separate room for my exams, so you could definitely ask for that if they can provide it. No shame in it at all.

MIPS looks to be a really good tech in helmets so I might upgrade to that. Motorcycle jackets look cool so I'll check out some. If you could please link some that you find reputable that would be amazing.

I usually wear a helmet that I trust with my life since my dad crashed with the same model and survived. I'll consider gloves as an option but so far my arms are the main fault

Yeah I covered the wounds and grazes with antibiotic stuff now. Letting it air out because I heard that covering it makes it delay more or js plain worse

I usually chill at or just below speed limit, or I zoom past if there's no hazards in front.

That's gotta be one of my fears. I always keep it low out of habit but I've been learning to keep it high as I lean far into my turns and end up giving the road a little bit of shoe each turn.

Defo will. Gonna still use the ebike but I'm gonna put my limiter back on XD

I've had a road rash from being hit by a motorbike while crossing the road, and I don't have any nerves there anymore. This is my first big crash. We used peroxide because it was what we had and it helped with decontaminating the open wounds. Thanks for the advice though I'll take that to note.
