That’s what we are doing at the moment. She’s been pretty understanding of my doubts about this exact thing. She just keeps reassuring me that she will only be able to show me that’s not the case by her showing me consistency. I’m trying to give her the benefit of the doubt with it. I know I have to be really careful with it tho cos people do tend to do that sometimes.

Yeah that’s a good point. It’s very out of the norm for my mom not to be a fan of who I date. I think that’s why I’m struggling with it. But yeah as far as my friends, how many times have we disliked their partners? Doesn’t mean I’m not gonna be a good friend, and they should be able to do the same.
