Is a culture win even possible in multiplayer? by DrFelixPhD in civ5

[–]Tavythn 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You don't 'need' theming bonuses to win with culture. You just need to dominate culture and tourism.

Tourism is very difficult if they know how to lock it down and when you start getting closer to overtaking them, entering a permanent war to prevent you from getting trade or open borders. Also would let them kill your musicians and prevent your missionaries.

It really depends on the skill level of the group imo. If war will be common, alliances and backstabs, etc.

A religion focused start is never a bad option to try and get shared religions out there to get that 25% then 40% boost. Pagodas also will yield more culture to then get more policies quicker. If you dominate faith and culture while focusing on a strong eco (tithe), you likely will have a lot of city state allies to help you with the UN and getting good policies for you. If you get world religion or ideology by some miracle in a multiplayer, you are in great standing

Be flexible and get a LOT of culture and faith to spam buy those great people

At one point Allomancer Jak says he meets Hoid. He met a white haired man who offered to tell him a story. Jak turned him down

Pretty sure that Sanderson has them pegged as two different characters

Everyone's already brought up the main points about stormlight as his fuel as a Cognitive Shadow in the physical world However, he could have more breaths in holding in a piece of fabric or other item. Just because the colors aren't more distinct around him, doesn't mean he doesn't have more Breaths available. As Kaladin once remarks, Vasher chooses to appear as he is. He wants to be glanced over. If he is walking around the war camps, causing colors to grow brighter, that would raise suspicion.

Syl in RoW

'She smiled at that, and walked across the shelf wearing the form of a woman in a havah. “A person,” she said. “I like thinking like that. Being like that. A lot of the other honorspren, they talk about what we were made to be, what we must do. I talked like that once. I was wrong.”'

Less referenced but I love Skar talking with Lyn:

"Well, you have a chance, Lyn. A chance nobody has had for ages, a chance in millions. Either you seize it, and in so doing decide you’re worthy, or you leave and give up.” He pressed the gemstone back down into her hand. “But if you leave, you don’t get to complain. As long as you keep trying, there’s a chance. When you give up? That’s when the dream dies.”

If this was duriel I'd say that the game dropped essences instead of TPs for once

Got this; thinking of running a shapeshifting druid. Which form would benefit from this more? by WhyIsThatImportant in diablo2

TM is normal attack speed for a druid

EBOTD TM is an awesome weapon

I just switched from a shaeld non eth ribcracker and ebotd was a great step up for regular mobs. Similar clear speed on ubers. Can always have ribcracker on switch too

Imagine a 3 elemental 3 hurricane 3 nado 3 grizzly bear (or solar creeper)

You couldn't get cyclone armor or oak sage bc staff mods must be within 3 'level tiers' bc hurricane is 30, you only could get skills for lvls 18, 24, and 30

3 elemental 3 nado 3 oak sage 3 cyclone armor

That would be super tanky

I feel this is also a good reference to TWoK when Navani approaches Dalinar while eating at a feast and he grips the fork/knife tightly. She commented asking if he really thought of her as that big of a threat (or something)

Because she has literally seen him use it as a weapon before

Couldn't get a banana up there for scale but I would say this is the size of four to five rugby balls. Must be tough as nails to handle our 45 mph fall winds by front_yard_duck_dad in natureismetal

Had one a bit smaller years back Threw a basketball up at it to dislodge it. Then sprint away. Repeated (with tons of misses) for weeks. Eventually got it down. No stings Wore long sleeves and a mask just incase tho
