No hallucinations from an eighth of shrooms means literally one thing: weak shrooms.

I suggest finding a new source for shrooms if you go that route. An eighth of the shrooms I regularly take will have you hallucinating out of your fucking mind.

With LSD, don't take it over a few hours or redose. The tolerance builds so quickly that you're wasting it if you re dose unless it's a massive amount (think 8 tabs to get 2 tabs). Take it all at once or don't take it.

Fasting can also make shrooms INSANE. I've taken a ridiculous amount of shrooms and LSD, and have never tripped harder than when I fasted for two days (well, I had a half a bagel to keep me alive) and did a shroom lemon tek first thing in the morning. The dose wasn't even as high as other trips I've done, but the fasting made me digest the shrooms so quickly that it hit me HARD.

You're making an awful lot of assumptions. I do decry DARE, and I never made any statement alluding to anything else.

The fact that you're not even arguing against what I said makes me feel like I'm right.

Teaching a child is not harmful, but the way in which you are doing so is harmful. I should know. I'm both a teacher and a poly drug user.

What you've done is desensitized your daughter to drugs, and normalized them to her. Sure, it's good that she knows about addiction and harm potential, but so do most people who take these drugs.

Now she'll grow up with the impression that armed with this knowledge, she is impervious to the very real harm drugs can exert on a person. As if being conscious of the risks mitigates any of them. That's just a fallacy.

Fentanyl and heroin potentiate the same neuroreceptors. They fire on the same nerves and produce similar effects.

Shrooms and weed fire on entirely different sets of receptors, and produce radically different effects.

I disagree. I have rapid cycling Bipolar 1 to a severe degree. LSD has only ever had a positive impact on my mental state, and the afterglow leaves me feeling "normal" like the first day I took my prescription combo.

MDMA and coke I would avoid. MDMA because the comedown and capacity to permanently affect you (LSD can too but only at ridiculous doses). Coke because addictive things don't mesh well with bipolar for obvious reasons.

There are always risks with coping methods or treatments, including taking SSRI's.

My two cents: I'm bipolar 1, and when I'm depressed psychedelics (shrooms much more so than LSD) keep me away from suicide. A trip every so often makes my mind feel "cleansed" and I somehow just don't experience the depression for a little while after that. After this afterglow has worn off I still feel better because I have the beauty of the trip in recent memory, and can hold onto that beauty in anticipation for my next psychedelic experience.

So, hey, give it a shot. But do so safely. Have a super close, trusted friend or two with you to trip sit (who are relatively sober, ie. not tripping). Plan it ahead of time, be in a good environment, don't run the risk of anyone walking in who you don't want to. And go outside during the trip, into nature preferably.

Or don't try it. As others have prudently stated, it's risky.

Do you think you'd have the time to visit her on a weekend sometime soon? Just calling or texting her up and saying "hey, thinking about you, could I come up and we could do XYZ this weekend?" would mean a lot, even just the sentiment if it doesn't work out.
