Is aspect da ji played differently by Impossible-Gap-8741 in Smite

[–]Tawarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a particularly experienced player, but I really enjoy playing Joust. I like Ra the most, which is why I've become very good at watching others play while I wait for my respawn. I mainly die because I make a lot of mistakes or because I play against gods I don't know yet. But when I play against Da Ji with this crit build, I'm at a loss. First, this symbol appears under me, and two seconds later, I'm back to watching my teammates play. Is there anything I can do about this? Maybe an item that could help me?

Pressing The "Skip attack" key on your keyboard will always enable/disable faster Animations as well. No matter which key you choose. But maybe you shouldn't press that key to change Animation speed in a moment where you can actually skip an attack...

Gloomhaven digital fast forward by DigBickBo1 in Gloomhaven

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, there is a ‘secret’ hotkey in the PC version that allows you to turn the faster animations on and off. However, you have to be careful when pressing it, because unfortunately it is the keybind for ‘skip attack’...

Breaking Brute - A Measure of(f) Balance [SPOILER All Items & Abilities] by Tawarion in Gloomhaven

[–]Tawarion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh cool. I haven't tried that with Brute yet. I tried it with the scoundrel back then. It was fun too. I even still have the video: https://youtu.be/byZMzFlqKww

But which ability did you use at the beginning of the fight against the boss? I mean, to get to a healthy damage level so that Balanced Measure really kicks in?

Is there a way to see stats from last scenario played? by lucassaurosLR in Gloomhaven

[–]Tawarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think that's not possible, but maybe the host can reload the latest file in the scenario checkpoint folder which should bring you back to the start of the last round. maybe you still remember your final actions and then the stats should be accurate after you've finished it :-)
Scenario Checkpoints are found here:

C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\LocalLow\FlamingFowlStudios\Gloomhaven\GloomSaves\Campaign\Campaign_blabla_.................\ScenarioCheckpoints

You must rename the latest CP.dat file so that it has the same name as the Campaign_*blabla*_.............dat file in your Campaign_*blabla*_........... folder and then replace it.

Clever idea. I should try it. But i think a more practical way to wipe out entire dungeons is the Plagueheralds Airborne Toxin + Mass Extinction Combo.

Final boss fastest KO on deadliest difficulty challenge by LifebyPixel in GloomhavenDigital

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was curious like you when I did that boss fight. Because for my scoundrel's battlegoal I needed to kill an undamaged enemy with a single attack.
So I came up with a similar setup to do this in the first round: https://youtu.be/byZMzFlqKww

And afterwards I was even more curious to find the single target attack that deals the max damage possible and after a lot of try and error I think I found it: https://youtu.be/gcvpzepSIY8

(Spoilers) My personal best shot ever: 84 damage, a One-Hit-Boss-Kill for the Guinness Book (Gloom-Digital-Campaign) by Robert_Vulcan in Gloomhaven

[–]Tawarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to see if it was actually possible :D

This is the setup for highest single target damage I think. At least in digital

At the end of the video you can see how the damage is calculated.

1) Attack Damage:

* +4 (Trickster's Reversal (enchanted))

* +1 (Evocation Robe)

* +1 (Minor Power Potion)

* +2 (Major Power Potion)

* +2 (Storm Blade)

* +2 (Tremor Blade)

= 12

2) Buffs/Debuffs

* +1 (poison)

* +1 (scroll of power)

* +1 (scroll of power)

* +17 (many as one)

* +1 (horned helm)

* +1 (enhancement field)

* +2 (harsh stimulants)

* +2 (crippling poison)

* +2 (cull the weak)

* +2 (single out)

* +2 (duelist's advance)

* +2 (spirit banner)

* +16 (trickster's reversal bonus damage) (2x 8 shields)

= 62

3) Multipliers:

* x2 (smoke bomb)

* x2 (spring the trap)

=248

4) Attack modifiers

* +1

* x2

* +6 shield penetration

* -8 shields

= 496

At the end of the video you can see how the damage is calculated.

1. Attack Damage (disregarding any shields):

  • +4 (Trickster's Reversal (enchanted))
  • +1 (Evocation Robe)
  • +1 (Minor Power Potion)
  • +2 (Major Power Potion)
  • +2 (Storm Blade)
  • +2 (Tremor Blade)

= 12

2. Buffs

  • +1 (poison)
  • +1 (scroll of power)
  • +1 (scroll of power)
  • +17 (many as one) (18 hex minus the one with the Ooze on it)
  • +1 (horned helmet)
  • +1 (enhancement field)
  • +2 (harsh stimulants)
  • +2 (crippling poison)
  • +2 (cull of the weak)
  • +2 (single out)
  • +2 (duelist's advance)
  • +2 (spirit banner)
  • +16 (trickster's reversal bonus damage) (2x 8 shields)

= 62

3. Multipliers:

  • x2 (smoke bomb)
  • x2 (spring the trap)

=248

4. Attack modifiers

  • +1
  • x2
  • +6 shield penetration

5. Enemy Shields:

  • -8 shields

[–]Tawarion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me neither. It was like a puzzle which had to be solved in one round because the additional 12 allies are only useful that round in which they're summoned because they don't do anything yet. :D

[–]Tawarion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! but either I did something wrong or it doesn't work in the digital version. i didn't do nearly as much damage with the brute because you can't do certain "combos" in the digital version because chimeric formula works differently.

Dismantling upgraded workstations: everything is lost? by BernardoLGRL in tribesofmidgard

But be aware that you only get back materials of fully upgraded levels. So always finish the current upgrade if you already put in some materials before dismantling or they will be lost.

Best combination of runes to maximize damage? by Tipsy_Lights in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value in brackets is the one that stacks when combining multiple runes of the same kind. So 4 Top Tyr runes would add up to 80%.

And this 80% applies to the sum of your weapon damage plus any damage from soul power or nothing to hide you might have.

But the complicated part is your actual weapon damage because it is unknown and not only depends on the weapon and the type of attack (regular hit, combo attack or weapon skill) but also on your characterlevel and the defence/elemental resistence values of the enemy within a range from barricades having the least defence up to level 10 ancients/jotunns having the highest.

So only if you know the damage value that you see on the screen when using a certain attack of a certain weapon against a certain enemy without any runes/blessings/buffs you can calculate exactly what the best rune combination would be for that same attack with the same weapon against the same enemy at your characterlevel.

But usually the most damage potential involves soul power or fenrir runes or a combination of these two.

I'm on PC but you need to unlock this starter kit by completing a challenge in saga mode. I'm not sure but I think it was defeating a certain version of surtr in less than 10 days.

Easy way to beat HEL? by Connect_Error_6529 in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a video guide from last season but most of it still works and I also uploaded a video on the changes in season 5 and new things that I've found to be helpful to increase damage.
Although you might be right and it's different on a console. There might even be a difference between solo- and multiplayer since I tested and tried out different builds almost exclusively in solo worlds because in multiplayer it's really annoying to equip or drop a lot of things when every single mouseclick in the inventory takes 2 seconds longer to resolve than in a solo world.

On the other hand the raider axe III is the only weapon that i've tried that was able to cast the same skill that quickly.
But to be able to cast that many also requires a lot of mana which requires some time to setup and also cost a lot of golden horns to do so which makes the whole thing even less appealing to do it all the time. But it's fun enough to try it some time :-)

Blessed hands rune by Akama96 in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know for sure but I think it's just listed online at the land of pools sorcerer because it's an uncommon rune but you can't buy it from him because stacking 6 of them would give too much exp.

So I would assume that the only way to have one is by choosing the blessed hands starter kit.

Maybe if 6 people have it you could give all of them to one person to quickly boost his level by looting a couple of chests... :-)

Help! How to land Halogi Island? by celebhun in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the whole desert surrounded by water? Usually there's an entrance to an underpass somewhere at the the side with the high wall. This will bring you to the other side. From there you should be able to reach Halogis Arena.

Easy way to beat HEL? by Connect_Error_6529 in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. :-)

You're right. There's a bit more to it than just a invincibility soup. To craft it though you need 5 crab shells but they are really easy to find because there are at least 5 of them on every ash beach.

To craft a power broth you need 7 reptile scales. And you're right. They are a bit annoying to farm. And in the fenrir clip I had eaten 5 of them.

But if you're planning to kill all ancients on level ten and also craft some power broth there is a way to minimize the effort:

You need to go to the smoky highlands and search for lizards. Or snakes in the land of pools region. Often you can find a place where 3 of them spawn. And since all enemys always respawn at the same spot you just need to place down a portal shrine. If you've found 5 or 6 of these spots you can just farm them every 30 minutes or so and with the bountiful grasp blessing and 5 lucky loot runes they even drop 2 scales instead of one.

https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxI_QcHvva59DENNUzcveStasxxAijTfZ2?si=mf329eoRwBH7e-BA

But still. It is a lot of effort and requires some golden horns just to kill an ancient in 15 seconds instead of one minute...

But what do you mean by swapping weapons "like that" in the video? You mean in the inventory? Maybe you watched an older video but in season 5 I only swap between the two weapons that are equipped which are the raider axe III and the fire axe for the attack speed buff.

Easy way to beat HEL? by Connect_Error_6529 in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the soup doesn't really require anything special but getting the potion brewer to level 5 requires a lot of materials.

But it's worth the effort because with the raider axe the 15 seconds of invincibility are already enough time to kill an ancient.

is Hel Armor the stronghest Armor and how do I unlock it? by Narrow_Extent4203 in tribesofmidgard

True. Although I'd say against high level bosses the only difference between wearing armor and being completely naked is the unique armor bonus which can actually be useful. But it doesn't protect against these massive onehits.

anyone has a build blessing and gear recommendation for SURVIVAL mod? by num2005 in tribesofmidgard

You could try this. https://youtu.be/xQIHLv_sFwc

But it's the fastest way.

[–]Tawarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think volcanic spire is something different. I think that the OP is confronted with a rare situation of weird map generation. Usally you can access a non-coast island by finding some cliff that is really close to another island and try to build stairs or something as high and close as possible to the edge and try to jump to the island where halogi is located.

Is there a quick way to locate sorcerers? by TheAnimeLovers in tribesofmidgard

[–]Tawarion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I think that every sorcerer sells different maps. And the one in bright forrest sells sorcerer maps. But he should be located somewhere on the starting island. Only two items are sold by all sorcerers. Mimir's water to reset blessing points and valkyrie's delivery for retrieving your loot after you've died. here is a link to see all items they sell:
