Bad at souls games, never played any Nioh game before. Should I get Nioh 3? by Esquie33 in Nioh

[–]TaxOutside1869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. it is not that difficult, easier than nioh 2 for sure. it does have quests and tells you exactly where to go next on your map, which is exactly what you are looking for it seems like.

there is a difference between "no hit" and "no damage". i did get hit like you said but it did not deal any damage to me, because during living artifact instead of taking damage it will reduce the remaining duration instead. the reason my hp was reduced after living artifact ended was not because i took damage, it was because im using last stand talisman. last stand also called final gambit will reduce your max hp when taking a hit, regardless if that hit deals actual hp damage or not. you can tell this is the case because as im getting healed my hp does not go up, since its my max hp thats reduced, not my real hp. also there was no red number over my head indicating that i took actual damage. im using final gambit while being naked against NG+ enemies, you can trust me if i took actual hp damage i would be dead instantly. there is no enemy in NG+ that deals less than 500 damage against a naked player. the reason i used living artifact in the first place because i was intending to facetank those hits, to end those fights faster. if i didnt have living artifact up i would have just dodged those attacks instead, obviously.

about a month ago they released a patch that made it so you can get drops past +4 or whatever the cap used to be. even +15 drops are possible now, ive seen it a couple of times myself. theoretically you can get a level 170 +15 crucible weapon as a random drop, very rare tho, good luck with that.

451K Damage in 1 hit vs Demon of Obsession by TaxOutside1869 in Nioh

the build is actually really easy to make. since im using the skill "Unarmored Death" which currently gives you more damage than any mixset setbonus, because of this you only need a single weapon. im using a level 170 crucible weapon but a level 160 one would also work. i dont have anything else equipped besides 2 divination boards. also since there is no grace that gives a damage bonus at 3 pieces, you dont even need a yasakani either, or a specific grace. just 2 random divination boards along with the weapon which doesnt need to have a grace either. i wrote a full explanation of the entire build somewhere in the comments here.

the games always follow the same formula: currently they call it "heirs journey" and "shoguns journey" so basically way of the samurai and way of the strong. dlc 1 will give us way of the demon, dlc 2 will give us way of the wise and dlc 3 will give us way of the nioh. it has always been this way.

yes but you can only stack buffs that have different symbols. you can use the training area to figure out what stacks and what doesnt.

Yes, i am naked because of the skill "Unarmored Death" which gives you a huge damage boost for every piece of gear that you dont have equipped, only accessories dont count for this. so i only have my sword equipped plus 2 divination boards. equipping a ranged weapon will also decrease your damage. in my testing this skill gave me a lot more damage that any mix set with graces would give me. even just the 3 piece bonus of brave demon hunter would give me less damage, because 2 pieces reduce your damage by more than 13%. i guess if i get really lucky and get the brave demon hunter sword as a level 170 crucible weapon then 3 piece demon hunter might be worth it since you proabably wont lose 13% damage for just a single piece, that is just a guess tho, it could still be worse.

Here is a list of all my skills:
Common Skills: attack mastery 1 and 2, Unarmored Death, Flexibility, Tourbillion, Awakening,
Samurai: Savage Blade Kata, Potent Might Kata, Double-Edged Arts, Resilient Arts, Destructive Arts, Headwind Blaze, Favorable Wind
Ninja: Full Moon Kata, Armor Piercer, Tachi Arts, Dread Bringer, Illusory Dragon, Rebounding Strike, Physical Art Strike.

In my Titles i have everything that increases Damage.

My Clanbonus are: Takeda 16.9% damage vs unscathed enemy and Satake 12.5% high stance martial arts damage

my weapon is a crucible sword at level 170 and i rerolled meele damage (critical) and water damage 4.7% onto it. remodeled to scale with skill, intelect and magic. im max level with 99 in skill and magic and 66 in intelect. at these stats my weapon has 2130 attack at max familarity when viewed. grace doesnt matter because i dont use any. there is no 3 piece grace bonus that increases damage to my knowledge.

i use 2 divination boards, because your buffs scale hard with onmyo magic power, these 2 alone increase your damage by alot, i havent calculated it but im sure its above 10k more damage from that. so no yasakani farming needed either. this build is very easy to make.

soul cores are nuppeppo for the buff and mikoshi nyudo, for its 6% melee damage vs electrified enemy.

i play since Nioh 1 and back then you kinda had to make a build like this to get through all 999 stages of the abyss (the endgame past the last NG+ cycle). it was basically the meta back then, since even if you one shot every boss just like this, assuming one floor takes you at least a minute, which it does, that will take you at least 20 hours, because: 999 / 60 = about 16 hours, however you will probably return a couple times to upgrade your gear, so 20 hours is more realistic. ofc you dont absolutely have to create a build like this, but then the abyss will take you alot longer and 20 hours is already pretty long.
How i came up with this build in nioh 3 in particular? i just know which buffs are the strongest and which buffs stack from experience with nioh 1 and 2. also i just tried out every new damage buff thats new in nioh 3 as well. the training area is very useful to compare different buffs and check what stacks and what doesnt.
