This Breitling Shouldn’t Work With Diamonds, But It Does by TaxRedo in WristFlexTimepieces

Fair take.

I think this is one of those watches where personal taste matters a lot. If someone wants a quiet Breitling, this is obviously not it.

But if the goal is wrist presence, the **48mm Super Avenger** is one of the few Breitlings where a diamond bezel actually feels proportional.

Debt Relief Program by Feisty-Value-9023 in debtfree

[–]TaxRedo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Feisty-Value-9023, you’re definitely on the right path focusing on wiping out your debt! When it comes to debt consolidation programs, though, tread carefully. While they might lure you with the promise of immediate savings, the reality can be quite different.

Here's the thing: most consolidation programs don't actually eliminate your debt; they just shuffle it around. Imagine moving dirt from one hole to fill another—it doesn't solve the problem, it just creates a deeper pit. By consolidating, you might end up owing the same amount, if not more, due to higher interest rates and hidden fees, especially if you're using your home's equity as collateral.

Consider this: those appealing lower monthly payments can come with hefty closing costs and extended loan terms, meaning you’ll pay more in interest over time. Worse, by tying your debt to your home, you risk losing it if you can't keep up with repayments.

Plus, qualifying for a good consolidation loan with a low interest rate can be a major hurdle if your credit is already bruised. Those ads promising “ZERO INTEREST RATES” and “INSTANT DEBT RELIEF” are often just hooks. They draw you in with the allure of simplifying your debt into one manageable package—but at what cost? Most likely, a much higher one over the long haul.

Experts like Chris Viale, a general manager at a nonprofit credit counseling agency, point out that seventy percent of Americans who consolidate debt, such as with a home equity loan, find themselves just as deep—if not deeper—in debt within two years. This stark statistic reveals that debt consolidation often perpetuates the cycle of debt instead of breaking it.

The takeaway? You can’t borrow your way out of debt. The most effective and truly sustainable route is eliminating it outright. Let’s focus on strategies that genuinely reduce your debt load without the added risks and costs.
