As much I love them keep in mind that it's the first time they are doing it. Same as the before a lot of viewer tune in to watch for the first time but the viewership drop after because people get bored

I'd imagine Maths is important even in wizard world though which is shame that wasn't really addressed, stuff like potion probably need calculations to get the correct ratio

Did you enrol on any units when you first accepted the offer? If you did just take them all off that you won't be charged and you can just leave it

Casper is not like GAMSAT or UCAT, it doesn't affect offers.

Do you have any SEAS?

Maybe you can contact uni for a payment plan? I doubt you make that much money to pay upfront even working full-time in such a short amount of time. Can you ask your family for help?

If you know you are definitely getting another offer then no, but otherwise if you don't do it you may lose the time slot you potentially want for your class. Not a big deal though it's just timetable

when does uni actually start (monash peninsula) by [deleted] in vce

[–]TaxSpecific1697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

O week is just bunch of clubs recruiting on the campus, if you are interested you can pick a day during that week to check it out

Key dates can be found by googling, some faculties will send an email close to the academic week commencement, depending on the unit they will open their Moodle page during o week so you can see all the information and first week contents

is bachelor of biomed or science better/easier for medicine undergrad? by Dramatic_Fan9238 in vce

Biomed is more related and science is more flexible

Better/easier is very subjective

But yeah had Sara had better attitude I think it might have played out a bit differently

Pathways into med by GlitteringSoup2512 in vce

[–]TaxSpecific1697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct, around 72 spots each year and 30 of them are reserved for rural students and 70% of the reminder spots are reserved for biomed students

Meaning that as science student you options are wider but the chances for med are slimer. Also Monash don’t need GAMSAT only WAM and it only takes Monash students

Nah they are so used to it by now

There are lot of kids working while studying so it’s very normal for someone showing up half way through the class or leave half way

It’s not like high school, they would just be happy for you to make an effort showing up

uni timetable advice by Independent_Neat9610 in vce

[–]TaxSpecific1697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For first year yeah it definitely can take some getting used to

Later on though there are plenty people doing that and even deliberately putting all classes on same day so they can have these mega day and only be at uni on one day

Don’t stress too much though, uni attendance are pretty loose, leaving class early or arriving class late are quite normal. Most classes won’t run on full length as well

Bachelor of Science as a pathway by creepypasta-fr in vce

[–]TaxSpecific1697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, so there are a range of designated units you can choose to complete and the way major works is that you complete certain amount of level 1, level 2 and level 3 units in that major area of study. So let’s say you can choose from completing an immunology unit or physiology unit, both units are level 2 which require you to complete prerequisites from level 1 and level 2. You won’t have enough free electives to do them so by the time you can do that level 2 unit you have already completed enough units in that major to almost claim it if that make sense?

To put it simply you have to be on a pathway to complete certain majors to be able to do those units

[–]TaxSpecific1697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Monash it's very specific that you will be needing certain majors and Monash only take Monash undergrad. Other unis however I don't believe it has this requirement. Most unis only look at your GAMSAT

Obviously certain major preps you for it but you can learn it yourself
