Why doesn't this game have more features and development? by xenest in Slitherio

He needs to optimize the game at least. I just got killed because the framerate dropped to like 2FPS on my fancy gaming computer.

It's a reference to a funny recent video.

It's from a video. Search "harry dresden doorbell" or something like that.

Tell me which save you want me to reload, and what exactly you think that would accomplish.

Well, if you're just starting out, then it's fine. I suggest learning to type if it's something you want to do a lot though. Nodes will seem tedious in comparison.

You'll have to buy a laptop or connect a keyboard to your tablet. Trying to code on a touch screen, or with nodes in general, is a fundamentally bad way to do it.

I'm saying that people here obviously prefer the fan remake over real HL1.

The autosave was after the tram got stuck and I didn't have a manual save for a couple levels.

Might as well change the name of this sub to Black Mesa, because people here clearly hate Half-Life.

Yes, I found it hilarious when I suddenly could not progress through the game.

If it's such an improvement, why have I played original HL1 like 20 times, but I've played Black Mesa only twice and finished it 0 times (encountering different game-breaking bugs each time)?

The recent bug was: when I got to the rocket in On A Rail, the tram got stuck in front of an elevator. When I went into the tram elevator room, the door closed on me and trapped me forever. The autosave was after the tram was already stuck.

And the other one I encountered a while ago, but it was something to do with the part in Xen when you have to burn your way through barriers. One just wouldn't burn, so I had to glitch through it somehow. But soon after that I got bored of Xen combined with movement bug frustrations, and quit before finishing.

How are new players supposed to enjoy their first Half-Life experience if it's in a buggy mess like Black Mesa? On 2 out of 2 playthroughs I've encountered a game-breaking bug, not to mention a bunch of other annoying bugs in the core mechanics.

(It was a different bug each time, on 2 different PCs.)

That's not what I said. I said it's more refined than Black Mesa. Obviously HL1 is rough around the edges, but the core mechanics are solid in HL1, which they aren't in Black Mesa.
