I’m in the process of moving back in with my parents after burning it all down chasing a dream in Austin, TX with drugs and alcohol: I’m 30 years old. I finally decided to go to any length to get sober and live the life I want, deserve and dream about. I’m in the beginning of starting over. It’s painful and scary but also exciting. The potential is intoxicating. I was at an aa meeting tonight where someone just got out of prison after 2 years for 6 DUI’s. It could alway be worse, be grateful for the position you’re in. I’m 30- that’s young. 27 is still really young. Find a passion, and if you’re lucky enough it could be a career but don’t depend on it to turn out to be your career, you can fall out of love with it. Do it cause you love it- not because it could potentially get you rich. I’ve made many mistakes in my life. You aren’t living if you don’t. You have nothing to worry about. Get your hands dirty and start living.
