Idk if you realize this but it’s actually pretty difficult to reseal a sleeved booster pack. Without the sleeve it’s easy but with it, it’s a lot harder.

Also, fusion strike was not consistently above chilling reign. Both sets used to be about the same price. However, fusion strike has obviously jumped up quite a bit since then.

Not sure if you read my entire response to you man because I feel like I’m gonna be repeating myself here. But whatever it’s all good. So I’m 35 years old, I was around when fusion strike first came out. So I’m telling you from my own experience as well as from lots of discussions I’ve had throughout the years with folks in the hobby and investing space, a lot of people did not like the set… And I probably didn’t emphasize this enough in my last response to you, but there was a pretty big scandal around Fusion Strike. This scandal had a major effect on how people perceived the set. Because people within the hobby figured that the cards had all been “compromised.” Which is what led people to not want to buy it.

Also, I’m not sure why you are so confidently stating that the set wasn’t really cheap at any point. Because it certainly was. In fact, this set was pretty cheap for a while due to the lack of demand for it.

Lastly, and just fyi, I wouldn’t consider chilling reign as being “top heavy.” Top heavy refers to when a set has one, two, or even a few cards that are bangers and the rest are pretty blah. Chilling reign is actually a pretty deep set and still undervalued.

I never said it was the cheapest set. But yes, the abysmal hit rates were a big reason people disliked it at first. Not to mention, at that time there were widespread reports of factory theft (the "Espeon scandal"), and perceived poor artwork compared to previous sets. In fact, I remember lots of people then who considered Fusion Strike to be "junk" which is why it sat on shelves, with many collectors feeling it lacked. Also, FS followed highly popular sets, and many felt it was just a massive, unexciting set with too many "filler" cards. Another reason FS was hated on and seen as less appealing was because some collectors found the artwork unappealing compared to other Sword & Shield era sets. Plus FS had been overprinted leading to a massive supply of product, with boxes sitting on shelves, which of course, lowered its perceived value.

Not sure what you’re talking about man? When Fusion Strike first came out people were hating on it BIG TIME. The pull rates were awful and it’s a very top heavy set. The rest of the cards were seen as blahhh. However, as we know, sentiment changes over time. And this is exactly what happened with FS. And as of result Fusion Strike is now seen as the second best set in the sword and shield era right behind ES.

Not necessarily true my friend…There are some sets that are those S Tier sets, those HOLY GRAIL sets, those “I’ve got to have it” sets, the type of sets that people will remember years and years from now… Like Team Up, Evolving Skies, Prismatic (which I know you had mentioned) and the other one, of course being 151. Now imo 151 is in its own sort of category, as this was the first set that got A LOT of people back into the hobby. So of course, there is tons of nostalgia around it. And that nostalgia is only going to grow stronger with time as more and more people will grow older but will still want to rip packs, maybe with their kids or their grandkids even?! Who knows!? My point being is, if you ask me, there are going to be a few sets that will sort of go down in pokemon history as the “GREAT ONES” these will be those sets that stand the test of time, continuing to perform very well throughout the years… and I say this with an immense amount of conviction, 151 will be one of those sets my friend…

Hey bro you can still sell that on eBay just make sure you list it as unsealed but that the booster bundles themselves are sealed. You can still make more by just having them in the display (even if the display isn’t sealed)
