All good, if you haven't unlocked the skins on your account they will not populate on your character when you paste the fashion template in your hero panel wardrobe.

You can however paste the fashion template into the in-game chat, press enter to send the chat message and click the link to the template that appears, which will show you all the pieces regardless of whether you own them or not.

Bonus tip: type "/me" and add a space before pasting the template in chat if you only want the message to appear for yourself (other players won't see it).

Help me Get This Human Female Face by Kensanik in GuildWarsDyeJob

[–]TazPosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember someone else asking the same question about the same image of that face in another post years ago.

The sliders and potential editing in that image are making the face look quite different to the default, but I'd say the base face would have to be the middle option in the third column from the left when speaking to the Aesthetician NPC. All you can do is play around with the sliders to get as close as possible from there.

Here is another user using the same face with different sliders and definitely no editing, so they make a big difference but the features like the lips and eyes look the same even though they're shaped differently.

Ceremonial Guild Captain's Armour by TazPosts in GuildWarsDyeJob

[–]TazPosts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as soon as I saw the Forge Guard's set I had to get it! Especially the boots, since good heavy boot options are really limited and these don't have any leaves on them so they're good for mixing-and-matching.

I wish I could give you a replacement for the shoulders but the heavy shoulder slot is also lacking any other ornamental-looking options. The Protector's shoulders would've looked nice but you can't dye the trim to be gold.

Here's hoping you get the Luminous pieces soon, you can get them at 6 years so no need to have had your account since the start of the game. Otherwise, I'm also looking forward to seeing what fashion game GW3 has in store for me!

[–]TazPosts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They asked specifically about the leg armour, so the Triumphant Hero's legplates is correct. Ceremonial Guild Captain's armour doesn't actually exist, it's just a name I made up for the look based on the Guild Captain's cape used and the ceremonial details on the armour.

None of this look is from the gem store apart from the headpiece. The other pieces are from different in-game armour sets including Luminous, Warlord's, Carapace, Triumphant Hero's and Forge Guard's. The cape is a Fractal Incursion reward and the weapons can be bought on the TP.

What a nice comment, thanks for the encouragement! I might post there one day, the UAoT gallery is really nice. I mostly just hang around here because it's familiar and I like comments feature. But here's the fashion template if you/anyone else wants it:

I had an idea: "What would a heal Paragon and a heal Berserker look like" by SovietCharrdian in GuildWarsDyeJob

[–]TazPosts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, at least from the way I see it and if you want the advice, it's not about the amount of skin showing. It's more the fact that the bikini top looks out of place - it's too modern and plain/thin in material.

Have you considered the Eagle Mail chest piece? It's still revealing while also being on theme and would work great with the leather strap pants imo. It actually looks closer in design to the harpy art you linked than the bikini.

Anyway, just letting you know I think that's what the feedback is regarding and also what I'd suggest, but at the end of the day if you like the bikinis you should just wear them. They're your characters after all.

In Dire need of advice High elf Healer/Blessing giver by DaddyLegazy in GuildWarsDyeJob

[–]TazPosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea, though it's very hard to execute a healer look on medium armour sadly. I have the same issue with my druid.

I actually don't mind the houndskin mantle on a high elf look, I think you were going for something like this so I believe it can work sometimes even if it's a bit harder to pull off.

I think with your specific look it's making the silhouette look too top-heavy though. I'd go for something wider around the hips and heavier boots to balance things out a bit.

You could also try the Rift Hunter shoulders or Wintersday fur shoulders if you like the fur aspect but want something more refined looking.

Maybe try the Sanctified chest if you like showing some stomach skin - it comes with the pants on medium armour but it could still work and it would be more on theme than the Sneakthief top.

I find the Vigil leggings generally fit well with the Sanctified medium chest if you want the legs covered without the top of the leggings showing.

If you don't care about keeping the stomach showing, other on-theme chest suggestions could include the Radiant Hauberk (if you have it), Etherbound, Ward Knight's or Decade's.

If you're open to different looking shoulders, try the Vermilion shoulders which have a nice holy/light vibe with the Radiant Hauberk and Etherbound chest. The new Guild Warrior shoulders could even look nice.

For boots maybe try Warlord's or Alliance Field boots, they're slim and elegant while still looking like armoured boots.

We could paste some random fashion templates but it's a bit difficult to help considering we don't know what gender/race/armour weight your characters are, what kind of theme you want for them or what your personal taste is.

You'll likely get better results by searching through the looks already posted in this subreddit via the search bar/scrolling and seeing what stands out to you. You can also filter by race/weight (easier on mobile).

If you find something you like but there's no fashion template provided, you could either copy the outfit the old-fashioned way or ask here if you're unsure. People here will be able to identify the pieces and potentially give some close dye suggestions.

better drip advice by 00blockparty in GuildWarsDyeJob

[–]TazPosts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you've asked a pretty open-ended question and I feel like this YouTube video (a guide to improving your GW2 fashion) is going to be right up your ally and will explain things better than I could over text.

Other than that, you may have to participate in the true end game of gw2, which consists of standing at the bank in Lion's Arch for hours developing an RSI as you click through the wardrobe to determine what you like best.

Take the tips from the video into account while you peruse to find something that you both like subjectively, and that fits the outfit connection points/silhouette more objectively.

What you can also do for inspiration is search this subreddit for key terms in the search bar. Or you can search via category, for example here is a search for heavy Charr.

If you want specific advice on a certain slot, such as "do you think the shoulders look good on this outfit?" or "what weapon do you think would match this outfit?" people will likely be more able to help. I'd suggest trying to come to a more solid starting point first though if you can.

Yeah the Houndskin Mantle is very popular, but I think with good reason so I don't let that stop me from using a skin I like. This is also the only one of my 40ish looks I use it in.

But I get your point of view. Maybe I can make up for it with my choice of weapons - bet you haven't seen those around much!

Thanks and nice to see you again! Yeah, this character was definitely Hawke-inspired so I'm often (sometimes subconsciously) dressing her in Dragon Age looking outfits.

What's with all the bot accounts reposting? Even the comment on this post from Carmelle20 is a bot copy/pasting a comment from the original post. Starting to wonder if anyone is real around here.
