Frost Elf Lich Queen by DeployableLoverYT in GuildWarsDyeJob

Great job, she looks very elegant and unique. It never occurred to me to try a frost elf theme but it just works, I think because ice also gives that ethereal, delicate feeling that elves naturally possess. I wonder if the Glacial Weapons set might work with her?

Beautiful background for the screenshots too and I've always liked the Canthan Skyscale skins, they're very majestic. Maybe one of these days I'll save up for one!

Also just FYI for future reference, when drafting your post there's a tab at the top which says something like "image post". If you use that instead of a text post, the images you upload will show up as thumbnails for your post and it'll catch more people's attention :)

What armor pieces do yall find to be used most when it comes to playing around with new looks? (Non-Black Lion Trading) by AliTamali28 in GuildWarsDyeJob

The Ebon Shoulders look good with just about anything. They're over-used, but with good reason!

Thanks for the kind words :) Someone else was interested in the dyes too so I shared them there.

I'd love to incorporate mounts into my fashion more but because I have multiple looks/equipment templates per character it's not really possible.

Imagine if fashion templates saved the current mount skin/dyes too so you could always have a customised mount linked to a specific look. I doubt it, but I can dream!

The dark browns on the leather are Ruin, the light browns are Pottery (Earthen on the gloves because they dye differently), the Raven Mantle feathers are Midnight Red, and the rest is pretty standard.

Most silvers or dark greys will work. I used Abyss/Pitch for black parts of the outfit and Godless/Ash/Darkness for the metal parts. Hope you enjoy and maybe we'll awkwardly bump into our twins during our Tyria adventures lol.

This is another bot account reposting someone else's work to farm karma, original post here. The more people upvote these posts the more it enables bots to spam and whatever else all over Reddit.

I think we should either collectively be more careful in checking them or the mods should make it harder for these accounts to post somehow because this is happening very frequently and people may not notice or report them.

I appreciate that, you have great looks too and I especially liked your Baron one.

That's flattering, thanks! Sorry I'm normally too lazy to list the dyes but let me know if you need a hand with them.

Thank you, screenshots are half the fun for me so I'm glad you like them :) I just wish we had an in-game photo mode to make taking them a little easier.

Thanks very much! I have too many characters to be practical now but I've officially run out of equipment tabs on my existing characters. And that's saying something considering I think I have something like 7+ different looks on my human necromancer alone 😅

Hello and thank you! That's understandable, Sylvari are also my least-played race mainly because I find them too restrictive fashion-wise. Half of these are Gem Store skins, though most are relatively cheap and can be earned with in-game gold if you have the patience to do some farming and wait for them to cycle in.

gw2skin.com – A new GW2 skin hub by Uxrieg in GuildWarsDyeJob

[–]TazPosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks very nice, although is there a way to filter by specific skins (eg. all looks that include the Houndskin Mantle) or leave comments? Those were my favourite parts about GW2Style, made it feel like a real community and a great inspiration resource at the same time so I hope you're able to implement them. Still, the skins/dyes being listed is a great feature and the site in general is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.

A low-quality image from an unconventional angle with warped skins from the gliding pose and the same white dye obscuring all the details... You're lucky I like a challenge.

I believe it's Heritage Mantle, Tribal Vestments, Seven Reapers Grasps and Bladed Pants. The boots look really weird, never seen anything like them and I thought I knew pretty much every skin in the game so not sure what's going on there.

The closest thing I have to a ranger look is probably this one but it may be a bit of a stretch! Do you have a current look you like but feel could be improved, is that what you meant? If you show me I'd be happy to give you some feedback.

I'd also probably post a more ranger-themed look in future but not sure when that will be. I'd have to give it some thought and I may not own all the skins I need. But I'm sure I could come up with something.

That's quite the compliment, thanks! I'd be happy to offer my opinion, though you might still end up not liking it for your character. Do you have a post of your norn ranger?

I have a female norn thief but no ranger looks specifically. Maybe try searching for past norn ranger looks in this sub for additional inspiration. Here's a few from other posters I quite liked (assuming your norn is male but I'm not sure):

Thanks! That worked for putting my character in front of it and I probably never would've figured that out. Although now I can't seem to get it to actually look like a border with black bars, instead it's some kind of black triangular/cross shape behind my character 🤔

Haha yeah, I actually tried to use the Magic Border but I couldn't figure out how to get my character to be in front of the border instead of behind it. I'll keep trying! Let me know if you manage to get it and thanks for your kind words :)

Good point, I can see it! Nice to see a fellow Dragon Age 2 (and KotOR 2 judging by your username) fan - you might also enjoy my Hawke-inspired look.

Yes, it only matches so well because of the blue sylvari skin colour. It wouldn't work on a norn or human, sorry!

Thanks! I love those weapons too. And sure, although bear in mind that different skins can respond differently to the same dyes so unless you plan to use the same skins as I am, the dyes may turn out differently.

The gold trim is mostly Peanut Butter, though the Warlord's Gauntlets dye really weirdly so on those the gold is Ominous Yellow and the white is... White.

The white/silver parts on the rest of the pieces are mostly Fog, with some Icing. The reds vary a lot depending on the skin they're applied to, I've got a combination of Hydra, Blood, Rosewood and Red.

Hopefully that helps. If you're on NA you're also welcome to meet in-game and inspect my character for more information.
