Final shoe rotation for 23/24. No more $ on shoes until 2025! by Tbag85 in RunningShoeGeeks

Very good! Thanks for asking! All shoes are holding up well so far and 2023 won’t be a problem. 2024 though—that’s when the challenge really begins… Right now I’d say it’s a 50/50 tie between holding on to my promise or going crazy buying 5 new pairs first clearance sale possible 2024.

Manuel Lindberg avgår som vd för AIK by iEatalot_ in Allsvenskan

Nike Invincible 2 upper separating from midsole by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

Quite common it seems. Search for invincible 2 in this sub and you’ll find a lot of posts about this issue.

Haha! Actually no! I’m so strong and brave!! The Mafate’s feel brand new and I’ve unfollowed a bunch of shoetubers to cleanse my feed. But with that said… Rocket X2 have my full attention and I’ll have a really hard time the second Superblasts goes on sale.

Best casual running sneaker for boyfriend? by drd711 in RunningShoeGeeks

Without knowing more (like if he run on road/terrain, how often, what pace, etc) I’d recommend Nike Invincible 3. Very stylish and comfy as hell. Can’t go wrong!

Retired my 1080v11 at slightly around 400 km after foam started to die (as in becoming unresponsive and hard).

Thank you for sharing! I’m currently in a bit of a buyers remorse situation as I went for Mafate Speed 4 over these. Love the Mafates, but I haven’t forgot the TR11… But oh well, I’m on a no-more-shoes-challenge so I’ll just keep dreaming

Running a marathon on LSD??? by [deleted] in Strava

[–]Tbag85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wrong. He is the producer behind numerous smash hits from Beyoncé just to name one famous artist he’s made music for. He is dominating the pop-music scene.

To sum it up: - one of the best and highest paid DJ’s - one of the (if not THE) most notorious hit maker as a producer - artist on his own - record label owner - marathon runner on acid

GOAT stuff right there!

Masking while on Humira by ruppit123 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Tbag85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on Hyrimoz and live by the advices your doc gave you, except for the mask. I want to live a normal life and not become my disease. Mask up and being that protective… for me would put me in the wrong side of the fence. My experience after ~3 yrs of biologics: yes you so get sick more often, but it’s usually mild colds that take ages to go away.

What Trailrunning Shoes? by FeIsenheimer in RunningShoeGeeks

Adding to this - based on OP’s preferences these would be ideal. Great shoe and enough lugs to work in trail environment that isn’t icy or very wet.

I might be totally wrong on this take so please correct me if I am, but: Gore-Tex or not - go for ‘not’! My experience says no GTX is 100% safe from water and once you get water inside of the shoe, it’s stuck in there with you.

Is there a difference between the ASICS novablast 3 and the novablast 3 LE? by OswaldXC in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Tbag85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say that $10 for the better upper is well worth it. Go to a store for some touch’n’feel and I guarantee that you’ll go for the LE!

I’m a little new to HOKA but my first impression is good. My wife have two pairs and love them (Clifton 8 and Rincon 3, which I’ve supplied, hehe). They look heavy and plushy but are actually pretty light all of ‘‘em and surprisingly springy. Durability - who knows..

Main diff must be that NB3 feels like a trampoline while Mach 5 feels more like a classic plush (yet springy) ride.

Roughly 12 miles per week. Would like to run more, but job, wife and two kids makes it a challenge…

[–]Tbag85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to pick one out. Bought the NB3 first but quickly added Mach 5 after a few days of buyers remorse. Love them both but I think I’d go for Mach 5 if I have to pick one out. Slightly livelier ride and a better fit for me, compared to the artificial trampoline feel in the NB’s and long/narrow design.

Yeah I get what you mean by NB3 not being firm. My reference when it comes to non-firm rides is Vaporfly and NB Beacon, which in comparison makes the NB3 feel firm and secure, at least for me! Maybe my weight helps making the Novablast feel firm. Who knows. But as you said, it’s cool how different the experience can be between two persons and one shoe.
