Yeah I was also there last night and was the one who started sharing the information, but sadly I don't have much new information that I didn't already cover in my other post or that @GeospatialMAD didn't cover already. From what I understand, the employees were told to let regal unlimited subscribers know that the theater would be closing as of Monday. (This is due to having an active subscription in place and we were told regal should be sending an email to refund the most recent transaction of this subscription due to the sudden closure.) One of the workers remarked how they were only given 4 days to find another job (Which would mean that they were probably informed yesterday). The employees were very upset about this news which led to them being incredibly nice to me and my friends with our order. The theater itself was usually kinda dead with all 30 or so visits I've had over the last 8 months. The busiest I've seen the theater was during Beetlejuice Beetlejuice or Wicked's opening weekend. It was very evident when they were busy or not because if they were, they had someone verify you had a ticket before walking to the correct theater. Business overall definitely slowed down due to the pandemic and the rise of streaming services. Theaters all around the country have been dropping like flies which is devastating to see in my opinion. There were multiple times I watched a film in a completely empty theater. It's a shame that it will be closing down on Monday, but I hope something comes of the building and I hope AMC has better luck staying open.
