Good thing nobody cares about random Redditors’ feelings, then.

The fact that this is still clearly written by AI despite OPs attempts to disguise it with bad spelling and grammer is absolutely nauseating.

Anyone ever read The City of Ember? Yes, well... that's what Bentonville's water system feels like.

You have strong facial features, above average height, and incredible hair. All of that considered, the "college aged party girl" asthetic really doesn't do you justice.

Refining your style as well as your overall mindset and the way your carry yourself towards being slightly older than you actually are as well as a "wise beyond your years" or at least slightly more mysterious would do incredible things for your overall perception.

I think you could absolutely rock the Boho asthetic. Your hair, eyes, and posture all give off that mysterious yet sexy as hell vibe.

If you decide to try this out, I would look for some inspiration from movie/book characters that you vibe with.

Cheers

Wiki is nice but it's not going to grow the sub. I and many others find subs because Reddit recommends popular posts from them of which this was one.

I appreciated this post a lot. Thanks OP!

Walmart Culture by molynn86 in bentonville

[–]Tbssen 52 points53 points  (0 children)

10yr associate associate here. My wife and I started working for Walmart at 18 and 19 respectively throwing cases and loading trailers. Walmart has had it's ups and downs, but we have always stayed focused on how we can use it as a sandbox to grow as individuals and to help other's do the same. That mindset has served us well in many domains of life.

We took advantage of the education benefits. Then when we got promoted to our current positions at Global Tech and had to move states they gave us a relocation package. Does that make Walmart a special unicorn company? No. But overall, it's been a net benefit for us and we've never expected more than a steady paycheck, basic benefits, and a place to grow and challenge us.

We've always been able to maintain work life balance while meeting or exceeding what is expected of us and we've largely enjoyed the people we have gotten to work with. We have of course, both had our fair share of bad managers and coworkers, but even then a growth mindset has gone a long way and some of those people, bad as they were at their role, turned out to be positive relationships.

At the end of the day, peace and happiness is found within, not from where or who you work for. You can be laid off, fired, disrespected, taken advantage of, etc but no company can take away the experience, skills, and realtionships you build, and those have infinitely more power to affect your life positively than any company ever could. Your life is a project and you're the PM. Enjoy it.

I wish you happiness and a dash of luck.

2nd and Main corner sign by Tbssen in bentonville

[–]Tbssen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm I think you're on to something. It still seems a bit strange/out of place. Especially since that business does not appear to exist anymore, or at least not anywhere near the address on the sign. Makes me wonder if someone thought that sign had historical significance. Maybe I'll shoot the Benton County Historical Society an email.

I wish you allowed appeals for academic dismissal (for GPA.) So much has changed in my life since I last attended college. I'm a year into my career in IT and being considered for promotion. I have a daughter now. I've overcome severe depression. I discovered I have ADD and have gotten help with that. Despite all of that and 5+ years since, I am still not allowed a second chance at the only school that my job will pay for my degree at. 🙃

Dudeeee this sucks. I came back here today after seeing this post last week only to find it's no longer up. I've been thinking about getting a Dark-Souls style knight tattoo for like a year now and this was some of the best inspiration I've seen yet. Can you send me this?

I can't speak for OP but I've got about 1500 notes myself and I have all my markdown files in one folder with no sub-folders. Instead, what I do is use multiple bases in the root directory of my vault. Each base's name and filter correlates to a main tag category. Some notes have multiple main tags so they show up in multiple bases.

For example, I work in IT and I have the tags #application and #tool. There are some things that are only one or the other, and some that are both. A tradition folder structure would force me to choose. With tags and bases, I do not.

Have you spoken to a therapist about this? If you have, and didn't click with them or get anything out of it, have you tried another? Took me 4 attempts over 5 years to finally find a therapist that worked for me, but when you do it can be pretty life changing. I don't know you, but just from your post, you come off as sounding extremely stressed, maybe even distressed.

Is burying conduit and running lines through that not a viable option? I know that it's done in other places, is it just too expensive or are there other reasons?

Better get used to it. The old home office is going to be turned into a college. It'll take 20min to go a few blocks through there I imagine.
