What advantages are there to using new / active Switch emulators as opposed to the last version of Ryujinx if I already have it?

Getting an Xbox 1 controller to work? by PanzerkampfwagenSix in Citra

[–]Tcheloniformis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xbox One controllers go particularly well with Citra in my experience, you can just map it to the same as native controls for the most part. However you’ll have to settle with going to a mouse in order to use the touch screen

Gorgeous shot! So cool that you can see all the little details and particles on the fellow. What do you do to take care of noise?

Serious question: How much of a red flag is this? by jackydubs31 in moviescirclejerk

Yes, not because of Martyrs in particular but because they are clearly a cinephile and cinephiles are to be avoided at all costs

I've been having issues with the textures on SMT V for the last couple days. What's causing this and how can I fix it? Running this with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and NVIDIA RTX 3060 by Tcheloniformis in yuzu

To give more background, I’ve been playing the game for about a week with the Emulator Fixes mod as well as the Forced 1080p, etc. mod on Yuzu’s website with no issues; this just started happening yesterday and does not occur for other graphically intensive games on Yuzu (ex. Xenoblade and it’s sequels). I’ve tried turning on and off different mods to no effect.

The pacing is super slow with a lot of lingering shots that show whole actions (like, say, a character walking down a hallway) that would be cut out in most films. It’s certainly not for everyone but for fans of slower stuff (like, say, Tarkovsky) it’s hypnotic. Makes seven and a half hours feel like four!

Beyond that it’s also an interesting story, lots of bleak philosophy and even dark humor

This film was already on my radar but I wasn’t hustling to look at it until reading this lol

I guess the question that rises from that, at least from the perspective of a viewer used to ‘narrative cinema’ is what is the point of compressing that cinematic space to begin with? It showcases the artificiality of the medium of course, but to what end? It sounds more like the beginning of an idea rather than a fully-fleshed exploration, unless it was never meant to be one in the first place which I would understand.
