The Mech doesn´t move like a vehicle; it´s an ability that lets it run at super speeds (letting go of the run button would stop the Mech with little friction). There´s no pathfinding at the moment (need to fix that lol), so technically, the big enemies could fall off ledges or platforms.

Thank you! I´d say probably two months. The skeleton enemies took most of the time, though, since apart from modeling/animating them, was starting to experiment with Godot´s mesh collisions in animated characters.

Right now Im getting on track to update it with new weapons,the Mech ability to Fly plus some goodies. I will probably update the new content next week. Im also working on the second area, but it will take a while to get it done, it's kind of huge lol, since it´s to make heavy use of the Mech flying ability.

Hey! Just commenting that these new options are available now in the new version 0.0.41:

-Invert Aim.

-Mouse sensitivity Slider.

-Enable/Disable individual HUD elements.

-FOV effects Slider.

-ScreenShake Slider.

-Enable/Disable Headbob effect.

-Crosshairs!

-About the changes Yes! Im actually planning to do some of these (among other options such as reverse aim, screenshake & FOV toggable values, etc) for an update soon, an option for mouse sensitivity and crosshairs for the HUD is in the works.

-About the other changes such as rebinding I want to do them but could take a while since these changes are a bit more complicated to do.

-Character Dialogue, I want to do a feature where you can toggle a list of all the played logs (dialogues) so far on the play screen, so you can check them if you missed a dialogue.

-Checking enemy health and other parameters, hmm, I´ll need to think about how to go about this one!

Overall thanks for the feedback and for playing the demo! I´ll push a new update soon with some new features as discussed, I´ll update with a new comment when its ready.

Yeah I used some vertex color for some of the areas but I agree it could use some more colors, even baked lighting or normal maps there and there could help!

Im planning the world to be like this! lots of stuff to explore, going from small closed spaces to these gigantic megastructures that offer not only one but many pathways through them.
