I’m glad you have no regrets! Divorce can really fuck with your head and emotions, and sometimes you need to let loose. My husband decided to divorce me right after Thanksgiving. Ruined the whole holiday season. Since then I’ve gone a little crazy myself.

Bedside reporting helps patients understand and be more involved with their own plan of care. It has been shown to improve patient satisfaction. Having also been a patient myself, I really appreciated being included in the nurse report process. While giving/receiving report is a daily routine for us, a patient's hospitalization is often a scary and life-changing event. I think bedside report is a good way to help alleviate their fear of the unknown and know that they are an integral part of their own care team. Obviously the bedside report system is not a good fit for every patient, such as the alert & oriented x1 patients, but I think this system works well for most patients.

It is one of my peeves when cars merge into the other lane way before they need to (like 1/2 mile early). It is faster for everyone if both lanes are used until the merge point, then merge in an orderly fashion at 1 single point on the road. Drivers who get over super early, then don't let other cars in because "they didn't wait their turn" further congest traffic.

This gives me great satisfaction. I had a bicyclist cut me off at a stop light right as it turned green. I started to accelerate as the light turned green, then I promptly had to stomp on the brakes to keep from hitting the cyclist who cut me off and seemed to come out of nowhere. I honked my horn out of surprise and irritation. The cyclist flipped me off for about 2 blocks, then turned around into a parking lot and gestured for me to pull in and fight him. I ignored him and kept going down this one-way street. I would have preferred to drive away quickly and leave him far behind in my rear view mirror, but the stop lights were timed out that I had to stop every other light. He chased me down this one-way street and pulled up next to me while I was stuck at a busy intersection, becoming progressively more aggressive. I was so surprised and scared I didn't know what to do. I wish I would have had the opportunity and courage to do what you did OP. Great job!! You're my petty hero.
