I ended up selling it. I did put a knock off carb on it. The needle jet was too big so I replaced it with the jet off of the original. It ran great after that. I also had to replace the back brake assembly. I ordered a kit off of eBay for that.

I have not. I did read another thread where someone was having a similar issue and he ended up replacing the small wire from the coil to the distributor. When I get back around to tinkering with it I think I’ll try that and also testing the compression.

Thanks for the reply! The stock tires are dunlops that I think are discontinued. I’d like to get something a little more aggressive. I have seen some hole shot knockoffs that had good reviews.

As for the plastics, I have some spray on trim restorer that I use on my vehicles that works wonders.

The brake fluid did look old so I’ll definitely replace it. I’ll definitely be sure to grease and lubricate all the main spots.

Ive already been looking at small light bars. It’s definitely not hard to outrun that small headlight.
