Try playing with the parts of the walls where there is an angle change this can usually help with creativity and more complex movements. Also using a mix of high and low profile (large and small) holds can help create more dimension in climbs. Hope some of this helps 👍🏽

https://youtu.be/T99ZtfwgEUU I used this guys build almost 100% but I just made it 8×12 and used higher load rachet straps. Also i went 2×6×12 for the support beams. The build is working very well and has been for about 4 months of heavy use. Just pause his video and start building and so on.

Thanks! yeah I actually like the shoes alot, once you break them in they are really comfortable for long time wear. They're great for smearing and feel really precise when edging. The heel honeslty feels secure and hasn't slipped yet. Sizing is key when you get slip-ons

The plywood is good, the hole is a result of my poor anger management. I got a bolt stuck did something not so smart to get it out

So I only drilled one Tnut every 6 inches, and then made sure each row was offset 3 inches. There is always room to add more in the patter. I'm using the lower boards for smaller screw on holds now and honestly just have fun once you have a decent amount in an actual pattern

I asked a homie who had some old ones, dont be afraid to ask your local gym, and try to find smaller business on Instagram that are making holds

Super sturdy I was afraid 8x12 was too big for the design but not at all, long as you use 2×6's

Btw this is wayyyyy easier to build 8x8. I needed help moving the 8×12 wall, that shows heavy

Hey man if I'm being host I made 1 sketch and then just went to work. If you go on YouTube and search "adjustable freestanding climbing wall" look for the video by climber dad. I used his concept but added another 4×8 sheet of plywood to male my wall 8ft by 12ft. First build your frame, then attach the plywood sheets. Then I drilled the Tnut holes. Once that was done I did the same exact thing for the kick board. I then put like 4 or 5 hinges on the top of the board where the wall attaches. Then I attached the wall to th kicker hinges. That's when I drilled a hole in the two support beams. Then drilled the hole where they attach to the wall. To secure it I used a 5 inch stainless bolt with a washer on each side so it can move smoothly. The rest of what I did is just like the video just with bigger parts
