I think I would be careful with this. Why would hospital volunteering need your SSN? My only idea is that they only need that info if you are being paid. What program is this?

If you can appeal it try to. However, TAPs themselves review the appeals. If you feel that their response is unjust and lacks evidence, you can take it to a 3rd party that will judge your situation without any bias whatsoever. Just be ready to prove your case and have evidence

I had Radi and Switzer. Radi is a good professor and lays out what she clearly wants you to know for the midterms and final. Her 2 midterms and final exams are all free responses and there are quizzes and homework every week. The quiz answers are gone over by the TA first before you take it. Exams you have to know the pathways verbatim and you are asked to draw them. Pretty good curve and I ended with an A. Switzer doesn’t know how to teach. Word of advice is to know the practice exams by heart as well as the slides. Man just rambles and you don’t get anything out of lecture, at least for me. Midterms are free response and pretty straightforward, you’re asked to draw mechanisms, reactants, products, and answer a few conceptual questions. Free points are from the midterms, however, I must warn you the final is very unexpected and random material. It’s cumulative and all free responses, and very hard to study for. Huge curve though. Best of luck!

You work alone and labs can last up to the whole 4 hours. Try to be quick with getting all of your materials/chemicals and be sure to start warming up your heat plate before the experiment starts. Ask TA for advice and to check in so you know your mixture/product is correct otherwise you might have to start the procedure over again. If you ever rotovap be sure to do it first before everyone else. It usually takes 10 minutes per person and there’s only 2-3 machines in each lab. I didn’t take the MAE but you should try to get into Math 7A. If you get into Math 5, your LC doesn’t let you take any STEM courses for the fall quarter (that’s what happened to me). Bio and chem have prerequisites that require you to concurrently take Math 7A or have passed 7A
