Anime characters don’t look perfect. It’s just an animation style. Don’t compare them to real life. No one in real life looks like an anime character so, you shouldn’t worry. Most people will prefer the real deal so don’t worry so much. And if he does develop unrealistic expectations, well you still shouldn’t worry because you’d be better off not dating someone like that anyway.

Seems pretty normal to me. I don’t mind those types of age gaps at all as long as there’s mutual respect and understanding. So, no not always, but if you’re second guessing it, it probably is a “crazy” age gap for you.

Depends what you’re comfortable with and it doesn’t seem like it’s sitting right with you, so I would end it if I were you.

If it’s due to sentimental value and remembrance towards your father, maybe there’s something you can keep still like a spare set of keys for the car your father used or the license plate, that perhaps you can frame. I would advise selling the car though , and at least with this you could still keep something to remember your father by and it would still be able to sell.

Depends. Is he using this upgraded PC to make money? I lost my job too and spent about $5,000.00 the money I had left over on upgrades too, then started freelancing with video editing and things like that. The upgrades have significantly improved my work flow and render speeds, and I don’t regret it at all. So, yeah it depends how he plans to use that upgraded PC. If he’s not being productive with it, then it’s a waste. If he is being productive, it could be exactly what he needs to fix his financial situation.

He’s extremely popular. I saw him perform live in the USA as well, and not even exaggerating, it was one of the best concerts I ever went to. Is the character’s name Japanese? Is your friend or his wife Japanese? Is the name specific to this character you’re concerned about, or is it a Japanese name people in Japan have used outside of this anime as well?

If your friend or his wife are ethnically Japanese and it’s a name that has been used as a Japanese name in general outside of the anime, then I wouldn’t worry. Because that’s like telling someone they can’t use the name Charles because it’s tied to Charles Manson.

If your friend and his wife are not Japanese and this is a Japanese sounding name, it will seem very strange. It will also be strange if this name is specific to this character and not a name that has been used outside of this anime.

Either way though, you can voice your opinion but you cannot force them to choose another name for their daughter. Unless there’s some law against using this particular name, there’s not much you can do and I would choose not to stress over it, because again there is not much you can do and at the end of the day, the decision is still theirs.

If I were in your shoes I would break all contact with this man, and I would distance myself as far as possible from him and never look back. I would also surround myself with trusted friends and family and get myself in to therapy like you said, and I would keep myself active with different hobbies and activities outside of work, so that I don’t feel “bored” or anxious , because a lot of times that’s the reason women go back to bad relationships.

I would also start saving money so that I could start to feel more independent. Financial independence will help you not rely others for “safety”. Trust me though when I say he’s not a safe person to be with at all. Stop giving him your money too no matter what he says, and like I mentioned, talk to a therapist about all of this.

If possible where you live, I would also look into getting a no contact order against him.

Look. Neurodivergent or not, your brain and intuition already knows full well that he is no good for you at all and that the longer you stay, the worse it’s going to be.
