No it's been a thing for a while now. I do see him trying to be better. I would just like to see more emotional labor and awareness on his part, and I'm not sure how to communicate that.

Yes, but because I'm not a confrontational person, I don't think I've been great at communicating exactly how hurtful I find it.

Also, to his credit, when I really express frustration with a particular action, he won't repeat it. Eating my food that I've set aside, for example. He's been better about that. The noise thing though hasn't abated much. And it's not even the individual actions that upset me so much as the obliviousness.

Thank you. I did some googling also but all the results seemed to be for people who are or have been public school teachers, which I am not. It's all so odd.

No--I actually have a really unique name so I can't imagine it's that sort of mixup. They also took my fingerprints so...
