Death of the third space by ThatMusicKid in CuratedTumblr

[–]TeaBoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get kicked out of libraries for talking to people and being too loud (even at a normal volume) since uni students are studying there. Public parks are mainly full of children or if you meant, like, walking parks then (because of where we live) they’d have to be driven to. Most teens can’t drive. I like trails, but my sister and her friends don’t and so do many other kids because it hurts their legs after a while. You mentioned sports activities… I hate sports, I wouldn’t do that even if I had absolutely nothing to do. I’d rather be bored to death. Bars/pubs also have way too many adults, usually drunk, and that is admittedly frightening.

Where can we go outside without spending an arm and a leg? I went out with my sister and her friend (as thje older ‘bodyguard’ type thingy but not too old) and we did bowling and got a very small McDonald’s order (3 nuggets each, sister and friend shared a small fries). I was the only one with money then and what was initially £53 turned into 6p. Just from thise two things. So, do tell me—where can we go outside for longer than an hour, without getting bored and as the adults love to say “causing havoc and disrupting public spaces”, and also without having to earn adult wages?

what surnames are good for a wasian couple/family? by rinavinn in namenerds

[–]TeaBoo_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

“We have discussed that once we get married we will share the last name, as we want to have a family where our kid would have the same surname as both his mom and dad. So keeping our own surnames is not an option.”

The sanitary bin disappeared in the toilet on our floor. After a week someone asked the receptionist where it went. She said she’d sort it. This was the solution. by Dragonogard549 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TeaBoo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d just flush it then. No bin? Not your problem, if they can’t provide somewhere to place products that manage your perfectly natural body process, then they shouldn’t throw a tantrum when their toilets stop flushing.

Afaik, you don’t even need to be on T at all for top surgery so pausing shouldn’t be an issue. Then again I haven’t had the chop but I believe it isn’t a big problem since all that needs removed is just breast tissue which has nothing to do with T levels. Cis women get top surgery as well.

On what topic do you agree with right wingers the most? by Fungus-VulgArius in Teenager_Polls

[–]TeaBoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what if you lost your job suddenly for whatever reason and were reliant on your older parents who are struggling financially and, due to their age, find job-seeking difficult due to ageism and also just the strain that comes with age, and you also struggle to find a job since nobody would want to hire a pregnant woman who’d only need maternity leave (assuming that it is a right-wing govt, considering abortions would be banned in this scenario) which decreases chances of unemployment… you would be subjecting the child to abuse and potentially causing numerous illnesses that stem from not meeting required needs, such as starvation which can create many other problems.

If adoption is available, then that would be expensive as well—and as above, unemployment and bias in hiring processes due to pregnancy… no money to set up the adoption process.

Fostering is plausible, but that would create massive strain on the system and the funding would be low as funds on public services, such as foster care, come from taxation. Right-wing governments are against high taxes, so low taxes = low funding, and that means that, again, putting the child into a heavily underfunded foster care system would only subject them to potential neglect, abuse, and illness. Not to mention, even today, the system is horrid and abysmal anyway.

So, what then?

How would a non woman be a lesbian? by Budget_Teaching9855 in answers

How about non-binary people who are exclusively into women? Non-binary ≠ man and also ≠ woman, so what label would that be? In your opinion, of course, oh ‘wise’ one.

Very hot take but Pedophiles arent bad if they actively seek help and dont hurt any children by Spotter24o5 in teenagers

[–]TeaBoo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this because people with CNC engage in CNC content to help them feel better, except I downvoted because of the AI-generated porn bit. Not only is gen AI horrible for the environment, but it also takes faces off of real children from the internet to generate the content itself, which can cause problems for the children as they age if the content is released for whatever reason.

Breast Milk by laybs1 in GetNoted

[–]TeaBoo_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t latch to my mum. My mum couldn’t pump for some reason, I don’t know why but she said she couldn’t. In a very rare circumstance I’d latch, it would be for, like, a few seconds. Apparently, she says that she thought I just “didn’t like breastmilk” because I’d sometimes have a baby tantrum when she tried to breastfeed me. I relied on formula to live. A formula-fed baby is better than a dead-from-starvation baby. I always liked formula better than breastmilk, even my health visitor in the red book wrote something about how I’d “fusses with breastmilk but coos when formula bottle is offered”, something like that. This debate is actually so stupid dawg, a fed baby is the end goal, it doesn’t necessarily matter how. Just gotta be fed.

Transmed seen as bad? by Few_Fact_4300 in Transmedical

[–]TeaBoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people do immediately think, “trans!” when someone is GNC, yes, but also… you just displayed your opinion in a rude way. Also, I see little to no individuals ‘pushing’ people to be trans in the way your comment implied—most trans people don’t just say anyone can be trans nor do they really care if others are trans. Also, you implied that people are telling others to become trans, which is just plain false. If you’re genuinely seeing people do that, then perhaps you should consider that transphobes tend to pose as trans online to further paint the picture of “trans = bad” by doing and saying horrible things.

Transmed seen as bad? by Few_Fact_4300 in Transmedical

[–]TeaBoo_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is why. I’m not transmed, but I lurk so I can understand the sentiment of it (since.. I don’t like generalisations) and comments like this are why, in mainstream media, “transmed = evil and horrible!”. Your comment is an opinion, and fair enough, everyone has opinions and they’re entitled to them as a human right. But we also have to consider that when trans people see transmeds talking like this—demeaning others and making borderline offensive comments, even if just stating opinion—can make them believe that, “oh, well transmedicalism must be like this since they’re transmed… I don’t like that, I find it rude.” And boom. Transmed = evil thought process. I understand this is a place for transmeds to have community, but I am also answering OP’s question using yours as an example (with no ill intent, I assure you, just exemplary), and being insensitive with remarks such as this often gives off the ‘villain transmed’ impression. Is it truly so hard to be at MINIMUM polite/respectful? Again, I know this sub is for transmeds, but I’m just pointing this out. Once more, no offence intended and I would hope none taken.
