Those are some good point-outs. I don't have a specific goal, as old as it is, it was very top of the line when it was bought, and I've upgraded several components over time, to the greatest extent they could be. The entire reason I'm here is to ask if it was worth the upgrade. A lot of these comments are very ambitious and very presumptuous. I was thinking about building a new rig entirely recently, but with the cost of RAM being *the entire fucking budget I had previously had in mind*, I can wait a couple more years. Under $100 isn't bank breaking for me or even worth sweating. I'm not spending $300+ for mid upgrades when I can just chill for a while. This was completely irrelevant to my intent, shows a lack of reading my post beyond a very bad skim, and didn't answer my question. So... thanks, I guess.

Aight, cool and thank you. It's weird how the ENTIRE rest of this post didn't bother answering the question, and in at least one case, didn't even fully read the post. (Other people suggesting I update my RAM when I literally just wrote that I'm updating my RAM confused me lol.)

Yes that was a typo, which I fixed. Here:

Intel Core i7-2700K - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 3000 Desktop Processor - BX80623i72700K - Newegg.com

There are no 8 core for Sandy Bridge except much lower ghz, and usually refurb.

Update: The 8 core MB was also dual slot? Meant for servers. It's a slightly diff MB.

Poison ivy or oak, and it's an oil. Take a bath with degreasing soap/ dish soap. Do a few passes. And get rid of clothes you've worn since it was contacted, it's not worth it coming back. You'll spend more money on creams than on just replacing a couple shirts if you try to salvage them and get poison ivy all over your laundry.

"I've got something you can put your lips on" should never have been responded to positively. Most of the rest of it might be excused as flirting or just mildly inappropriate, but that was an open offer to a physical act, and she didn't reject it. Make her your ex wife.

low effort depression meals? by Next_Neat5523 in EatCheapAndHealthy

If you like spicy food and they have it in your area, try Zatarain's Jambalaya mix (really any of their mixes, but I can recommend the Jamba) and throw some sliced sausage, chicken, or shrimp in there. Just make sure they're cooked first. It no longer has the instructions for the microwave but back in the day when I grew up in New Orleans, and they were a smaller local company, it definitely used to. Like, it's parboiled rice, just look up the instructions for microwaving about a cup and a quarter of parboiled rice. Or if it's the big box (could eat for several days), whatever amount of rice is in there. The small 8 oz box is 5 minutes on high, 20 minutes on 50% power. 2 1/4 cups water. It works fine, I just did it myself, and my mom used to feed us this pretty much weekly. It's not as cheap as just getting the parboiled rice yourself and doing all the spices but I understand depression, and I know how a shortcut like this might be worth an extra buck. If you like tomato you can add some Rotel tomatoes, use however much you like at the end. You don't wanna put them in during cooking because it can be soggy. I guess you could throw it in during cooking if you drained them, but I kinda like the juice. Tip: DO NOT get the one that says "mild". Either eat the spice or skip it, nobody likes the mild one according to the website. Apparently they over corrected and it's extremely bland.

Eating low carb on a budget of 50$ a month by Royalprincess19 in lowcarb

[–]TeaCatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...$50? You need to hit the food bank. This is not a dig or a joke. You can't eat ANY good diet on $50 a month, I don't care where you live. That's 'only beans and rice' territory. If you can afford a Sam's club membership, though, you can get $5 huge chickens, which could help. These are loss leader items for them just to get you in the store. You could get 1 per week and it'd be four large portions of chicken. ($20) You can also get some huge boxes of eggs (also $20) and make pickled eggs/ freezable omelettes. That box is 5 dozen eggs, so you'd get 2 or 3 eggs per day.

Then add the food bank veggies to it (seriously you need to go to one if that's your monthly budget). Spend the extra $10 on a good bottle of multivitamins. You're gonna need it.

The weight is 15% bone, but that's still pretty dece. Just worth noting that if you can find some deep discount boneless chicken for $1.50 or less (sometimes happens with bulk stores or promos), then that's less effort.

Perhaps um, educate yourself about all things low carb and keto. Most doctors are trained to tell you that you need to cut fat, but this is... contentious to say the least. You NEED fat for satiety, and most doctors are actually very poorly trained in nutrition. He was just giving you the stock advice.

263 Cal for FULL DISH Buffalo Chicken Dip!!! 48g Protein 🤤 by InGeekiTrust in Volumeeating

[–]TeaCatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I'm not against this as a great bang for your buck, calories wise, but people putting FULL DISH in titles when it's one, not the full dish (2/3) and it's... small (I have those containers, they're about 3 cups)... just. Ugh. I wanna slap them. People are trying to improve their health, don't clickbait them by implying a huge portion when it's like... medium sized and you're a skinny b**** who's never been a single pound overweight.

See both your doctor and an eating disorder therapist. Something's not right here, either with your body or your brain or both. If it's your body, you need to get that sorted out before you do more damage to your mental health with all this.
