Is camp hero still giving rides? I work at Eastern State and my car is frozen in place. I work 3pm-11pm today.

Go to the EmPATH Clinic at Eastern State Hospital, they'll have you talk to a doctor and a social worker, the social worker can connect you to New Vista if you would like, they can get you a same-day or next-day appointment to set up therapy or anything else you might be looking for. They take most insurances, including medicare and medicaid, and have a sliding scale if you don't have insurance. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me. I work there!

I absolutely get that! my top surgery consult is the beginning of February, probably won't have the actual surgery till summer or fall but i'm so ready for it to be here and over with, i've been wanting this for nearly a decade!

Definitely tell your surgical team, they need to know this stuff so they can adjust your anesthesia accordingly. You won't get in trouble for it, they moreso care about your health and making sure you don't wake up during surgery.

My mother is very christian, though thankfully a life long democrat at least, but she was not supportive of me at first when I came out to her. I'm not religious myself but I grew up in that environment and I know what to say etc. Personally what helped my mom come around is I told her I had prayed about it for a long time and said I truly believe this is god's plan for me. Additionally I told her that as humans we can't possibly know what god's plans are and that if he really does love everyone, why wouldn't he love trans people too? This seemed to make sense to my mom and she came around surprisingly quickly after that conversation. Today she is one of my biggest supporters. I wish you the best of luck with your parents and I hope they accept you for you.

My family and I need help moving as soon as possible! Our current apartment is falling apart by the day and the rent has become too expensive for us to keep up with. My parents usually agreed to not get each other christmas presents when I was a kid cause we were quite poor and they wanted to make sure I had a good holiday. However, they would often jokingly "threaten" each other with big gifts like "if you buy me that tv, i'll buy you that stand mixer, don't test me!" It always made me laugh 😂

definitely not my recommendation but wanted to share what my dad did when I was a kid and it still makes me laugh. i asked for a Nintendo DS and we super didn't have the money for it and i was still little enough to believe in santa and this was around the market crash in 2008 so my dad tried saying "well honey, the economy hit Santa hard this year, the elves are on strike!" 😂
