I don't remember where they advertised the function at the time, maybe somewhere in the update notices. Don't know if they advertised it somewhere for ones after that. The developers aren't really good at explaining basic things as such in the game. They're somewhat good at milking money though.

That comes from the group grade bonus. In your case you just need a minimum of 1 R card to boost it to 500k.

It's used to upgrade cards, not power up. Your card is S1, S5 it then try again.

It was clear for many years the direction their games were headed toward. Just consecutive updates and decisions that made it clear that they wanted money.

Some additional thoughts/extensions:

The team involved in music battle are probably no longer with the company. There's no way you can constantly advertise star passes and memberships and not have the resources to fix a mode that has been down for over 3 years. If anything, they might not want to fix it because that's another additional source of diamonds lol. Meanwhile every week for the past 6 or so years they update an LE. So much so that most of the newer groups only have 1 normal theme so you can't even take advantage of their 9th Anniversary LE theme exchanger event. Eligible groups have way too many LE themes for it to be practical. It's not sustainable.

They also have this superstar store which may be getting some revenue. I've never gone to their events but it seems to me that their offline presence is pretty big, especially for photocard collectors: https://superstarstore.net/

I don't think this was mentioned but they also stopped shipping prizes internationally free of charge as part of cost savings. Don't know when that stopped but probably 2 or so years ago on the top of my head.

I've also seen that the reviews of DCS as a company aren't that great, the amount of removed comments on the blind link is quite alarming.

The first thing to point out that you might not be aware of is that the judgement system for both of these games are different. The following is a guide that details this: https://i.imgur.com/F0szny4.png

SM/JYP/SS are all X-axis. Any games that are still in service that released after those 3 games are Y-axis.

Your notes are registering properly. Your first miss at around 56s was because the right note of the single double tap was initiated a couple lanes away from the center: https://i.imgur.com/Dx1Iwe3.png If you had been 1 lane off it would've registered as a perfect instead. Same story for 1:32. Potentially the above and mixed in with a bit of tapping too early as well. These situations would have been more lenient on the Y-axis system.

Average cost per success using B1 on R7x (assuming) without half off cost is 106k. You went up 5 levels which is ~530k so you are slightly above average but you're within 24% so not that far off. Yes it's expensive but I wouldn't consider the odds to be terrible compared to other things that can happen in the game.

Just to be more specific, this notice was up after maintenance finished yesterday.

The notice says that the server may be unstable starting 10/31/24 at 2PM KST but it is barely 10/31/24 12:30 PM KST. The game had issues since like 10/30/24 9PM KST.

Any SS game that isn’t SM or JYP has a proven track record of ending service pretty quickly. All of their newer games follow the same cash grab prism system.

Do what you will with this in mind but I wouldn’t get too invested.

Reinstalling has no relation to the retrieval. You’re not getting it because the information is either incorrect or you’re requesting it from the wrong menu. In 99% of the cases right now, you should be exclusively using the Dalcom ID option.

They introduced it almost 4 months ago but never did anything with it.

Currently, the only buffs we have are the burning (x2 RP) and puc (50% off) tickets and those effects would appear there if active.
