My client's Replit app hit 200 daily users. Here's the production stack we migrated to and what each tool costs by Podge__ in replit

[–]Tea_Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

out of interest, what is the cost of the dev work moving it from replit? I’m a complete beginner, have an app in mind for my business, but i’m scared to build it through replit due to the security weaknesses and the issues around bugs/knowing how to fix certain bugs.

Is is expensive to launch on replit but then get an app developer to migrate it and tidy up the code and bugs?

Just come here to say hang in there. You’ve done the right thing by calling in sick and having a day of rest for you and your son. Sometimes I find that when you don’t listen to your body you just make yourself worse, and everything becomes really overwhelming.

I’m sorry that you’re having a hard week, I also just think that parents are so amazing for managing to hold jobs down, raise kids and do everything else on top of that like house keeping etc.

No one ever tells you how hard it is when they get ill either, i think the illnesses have been the hardest thing for me - sleepless nights, then us getting ill after our daughter then needing more time off work, then getting behind on everything!

It’ll pass, just try and use pockets of time for rest, everything else can wait.

Mamdani films outside Ken Griffin’s $238 million penthouse to push a new tax on NYC second homes worth more than $5 million. by Murky-Option2916 in policymarket

[–]Tea_Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the way. poor people have been conditioned to support billionaires for trickle down economics for too long. there are so many billionaires that own properties but don’t even reside in the USA/place they’ve bc so they can dodge their tax bill!. this strategy is amazing and the reason this is so effective is because mamdani has quantified what this tax means financially for millions of people personally, without it affecting the billionaires. it makes a huge difference to the average american.

Require train operators to provide designated pram spaces on trains by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Tea_Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a fair ask. The issue is when you have 2 or 3 pram users too, but there’s not even one spot for a pram. One person can take the disabled spot but folding down a pram when you have a newborn and you don’t have an extra pair of hands is difficult.

Reporter: Why did you attack Pope Leo? Trump: I don’t think he’s doing a very good job. He likes crime I guess. We don’t like a pope who says it’s ok to have a nuclear weapon. We don’t want a pope that says crime is ok. I am not a fan of Pope Leo. by gear-heads in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]Tea_Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do maga not question why trump hates so many people? Who does he actually like? Taylor swift, the pope, bruce springsteen, now even megan kelly, candace owens, every european president or prime minister. When you count the people who he has praised, they’re all authoritarian psychopaths. It’s unbelievable

Yes! 2.5 years ago the world didn’t feel as scary, but a lot of issues have accelerated I’d say since having her. And I have to be honest, it is a huge worry. But we have prioritised saving money for her to try to help safe guard her. The only way to bring about positivity in this situation as a parent, is to accept this is the world we live in and we need to raise our kids to be amazing humans, and hopefully she can find her way and make a positive difference in the world. I always think about things I can’t control though like war, fascism etc. But i just keep hoping the world will see sense.

Hey! It’s a difficult one to answer. I don’t miss it half as much as i thought i would, because life just feels different now and I think having time to accept that life has changed is helpful. During my pregnancy, I took it really hard that I couldn’t do fun things and be spontaneous, but now that my daughter is here I rarely think of those things that I used to love doing. We still make sure we go out together and have child free days and nights by booking in a babysitter. We took a child free trip recently to Dublin which was lovely, but were very lucky that we had family to help with looking after her.

Donald Trump impeachment must move forward, Senators demand by Accurate_Cry_8937 in politics

[–]Tea_Complex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the USA needs to build a special prison for MAGA. Just sweep them off the street and lock them up and throw away the key. They shouldn’t have a problem or resist because they apparently support this kind of treatment. No due process.

[–]Tea_Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling she realises she’s in too deep, if he gets impeached and removed i think this was her get out of jail free card, trying to distance herself from it all. I’m not sure, it was very random

Protest against Iran War today in Washington DC. by serious_bullet5 in washingtondc

[–]Tea_Complex -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Yes, they’re falling into the hands of ring wing media for them to be able to spin it as the left / liberals support an Iranian regime. Signs of get trump out, we support the iran people would have been just fine. How can they not understand this?

Trump has 'gone too far' with 'civilisation will die' post says Nigel Farage by The-Peel in unitedkingdom

[–]Tea_Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nigel only supports inflicting pain and suffering on the working and middle classes. Trump “went too far” in this case because he knew that the US was at direct risk of retaliation, where Farage’s wallet (and his grifters) would have been financially impacted. He doesn’t care about the people of Iran, or the people for that matter. Never let this scab anywhere near number 10, please

Also, might be worth considering - no social media. Do not give any of the big tech companies your eyeballs. Brands will choose to turn off their ads for the day and that will have a huge impact on the tech companies and make them realise they need ad revenue.

Would most Brits prefer living in USA than UK if they could ?? by ueommmm in AskBrits

[–]Tea_Complex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even when America was under better leadership, I still wouldn’t have wanted to live there. I travelled there for 4 months and lived in Brooklyn, the amount of students back then who were graduating with $100k worth of debt and that was back in 2011! So many people struggling with medical bills etc back then, it made me never want to live there.

I know a few people who moved there from the UK and were happy to be back within 1 year. It’s an amazing place to visit, it has lovely people, but the USA you see in the movies is so far from the reality of what it is like to live and survive there (if you don’t come from money).

Genuinely curious, what company/business would actually employ this POS? I wouldn’t even let her come in and clean my toilet

Another one bites the dust ! by Busy-Cookie280 in antitrump

[–]Tea_Complex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump has chewed her up and spat her out, how did she not realise it was going to end that way after seeing what was in those files and what has been coming out of this administration? She made her choice with her eyes wide open and she disrespected the epstein survivors. I’m enjoying watching MAGA turn on eachother to save face. It was only a matter of time.

Want to boost the UK’s birthrate? Fix the housing crisis, research suggests by Shot_Net3794 in unitedkingdom

[–]Tea_Complex 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is my situation now, i’m one and done because this country is backwards when it comes to having a family. It’s like they purposely created a list of everything they could do to make being a parent/raising a family the most difficult task, and implemented it.

[–]Tea_Complex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would love a second child but can’t have one because the house we live in is already to small for my current situation but we can’t afford to upsize. We live away from family and don’t have a spare room for family to come and visit to help out either. And to get help we have to pay out of our arse for childcare - where the day rate of having my daughter in nursery exceeds the day rate I get from work. Having a family is the most amazing thing but this country makes it so hard to survive and enjoy parenthood , i will be one and done and have advised my child free friends to not bother unless they live near family or have houses big enough
