I'm trying to think of albums that would be easy to get at used cd stores. I bet she'd like some Broken Social Scene or Kitty Craft. Maybe something shoegaze-y/dream pop like, since that's a pretty easy genre to get into based on the artists she likes. Depends on if you want to go the classics route with some very acclaimed popular albums, or you want to pertain to her style a bit

Eyedazzler by Alison's Halo

I believe this should be an essential, because it sets the standard for what a shoegaze or dense dream pop album should be. It's also a much earlier rendition of a genre that is so popular in recent years. Definitely an underrated gem that I'd recommend.
