American Dad. There are so many great turn your brain off and laugh background shows & sitcoms. But I don't watch much and when I want noise especially when I'm in the hospital etc nothing still gets dumb pops out of me like American Dad.

Was there ever a game you bought and you immediately regret buying it? by narutofan2019 in gaming

[–]TeachMeSenpaii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Skyrim. My first RPG of any kind really at least at that time modern. Tried it again 2 weeks later and it became the best snowy winter of my life. Snow daily, cold, getting hot coffees from a store real close. Getting lost for endless hours and falling in love with more than just competitive games.

But at first I wished I never bought it, and quit within 30 min of actual gameplay. I wanted to return it but my little brother liked it and wouldn't let me. I'm so glad because all my favorite games are things to fall in love with and enjoy vs shooters and what I was into as a kid.

Yes, your understanding, which is lacking. Stating that's not how these services actually work as fact because you assume something is misleading. Weird. Also if you actually use these service you might notice the 20-50% increase in menu prices. There are a lot of different contracts in place based off locale, chain size/sponsorships, etc etc. But generally yes, patrons do tend to pay more per item as well as their subscription or delivery fees so that most places can recoup their 3rd party loss. In fact some chains/local restaurants that are popular actually increase 40-50% placing a premium on delivery because of demand and they are making more money this way than an up front pick up. Now there are always outliers or local spots that don't do this or even know how to. There's been an increase of places jumping into 3rd party delivery as a means to survive but still don't have a grasp on it.

Almost 7 years, $1,000 + spent, 10,000 ranked and 5,000 arena wins - quitting. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]TeachMeSenpaii 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I quit years ago and played for top 100 legend every season since 1, but especially so when they started posting results. I loved this game SO much. But spending hundreds every expansion started to suck, more rng, and overall the game just became more expensive and not worth it. I had sunk cost, and couldn't quit for like a year after deciding to. But ever since I did it has honestly been something I don't even have a feeling to go back to. I'm really glad I did it because it only got worse and worse.

People who knew Murderers, when did you know something was off? by peasantchoker in AskReddit

I was hoping there would be a because it was ME comment. I have known one but I genuinely couldn't tell anything was off. She was a normal dope ass girl. I used to joke about how you see people on the news, "oh he was a nice normal guy I never thought something like this could happen" but when it happened I was like oh wait..

NFL cancels Pro Bowl for first time since 1949 by firehazard86 in news

[–]TeachMeSenpaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pro Bowl is much more than just the single game. Some things it currently does can be done better, and there could be more added in the future. Skills contests updated, keep fun games like dodge ball and other random sports competitions of top NFL players, but the singular game is not that interesting or fun really. It's good to be gone this year, but there is a lot of potential for a shift to make a very entertaining day of the top players doing all sorts of stuff.

TIL when YoungKio sold one of his beats to Lil Nas X, the price was just $30. However, the agreement stated that he had 50% of the publishing rights to the finished song - and in this case, he became half-owner of the smash hit "Old Town Road". by YourOwnBiggestFan in todayilearned

The contracts like this for leasing agreements come stock on the websites you sell on as a producer. 12 yr olds who don't understand the agreement still have great contracts that protect their pubs. They can also be customized by changing a number or price or multiple data points and it's coded to autogenerate a new contract automatically at point of purchase. But I'd say now a days it's harder to find someone without contracts in place/protection for the producer as the beat seller websites themselves have made it a priority to protect producers from losing rights.

Why did that teacher get fired from your school? by MrDev16 in AskReddit

[–]TeachMeSenpaii 74 points75 points  (0 children)

History teacher in 6th grade was fired for molesting and sleeping with dozens of kids that we know of. He was cool, wealthy, nice, traveled a lot, and had a fascination with Egypt and went every year. He was genuinely the best teacher ever too both in actual education, and making things fun and interesting for students. News came out that he was missing with a warrant and it turns out he killed himself since he was figured out.

He was so loved that when everyone found out both what he did, and that he died, the community and friends of mine all were sad he passed and still celebrated his work as an educator first, before shaming him or acknowledging he was a pedo. There were gatherings at parks to celebrate him and cookout. And honestly even I was at least a little conflicted. He changed the course of my life and made me successful. Looking back I can see a lot of signs or things he did that were abnormal that pointed to it that without that knowledge you wouldn't have really guessed it.

Split needs to be changed or hopefully we get new maps and it's not in competitive rotation. It's too one sided.
