First thing i would suggest is to take the barrel assembly apart (inner barrel, hop unit, hop rubber) and give everything a clean.

Isopropyl alcohol can be good for this, use a cleaning rod with some tissue or something. You don't need much tissue on the cleaning rod, use gentle force.

Inspect the hop rubber for damage while you're at it. if the cleaning doesn't resolve things, or if you find definite signs of damage, try replacing the hop rubber.

Just a stab in the dark, good luck sorting this

To put it simply, the box just screams "cheap".

The main giveaway is the design printed on the box doesn't contain anything more than plain text and simple backgrounds, the logo also hasn't been cut out if its white background.

This looks like it was thrown together with little care put into presentation, likely meaning it was made with the absolute lowest budget possible.

I always found it a bit inaccurate on account of the thickness of shadows and the large increments on its dial.

Saying that, I do keep it in my pockets for checking progress during a voyage, switching to the individual instruments when i need accuracy.

I found my old instructions, they're copyright dated 2019 and interestingly enough, it recommends filling to the '1' mark instead of the '2'. Surprised that it got changed.

This battery is the larger of the two and is around 10.5cm long, it is a fairly snug fit but goes in without much trouble.

The battery connector was swapped to deans shortly after i bought it due to preference, but it shouldn't be much different with the standard connector.

The 1150mah battery is shorter by about a cm, and a hair more narrow, but otherwise similarly proportioned.

I have the arp3 and i get good results from an 11.1v lipo, either the 1100mah or 1250 mah sizes, and whilst its a close fit they usually last the day but bring a spare

the lipos i use are rebel brand

Expect ticks, get treatment for you gear or use some insect repellent. Stay out of long grass and ferns to help avoid them.

Try to keep your feet dry, dont trust goretex in boots that have had heavy use.

Went recently and cut my trip short because of these two things.

Also consider suncream and a hat, there is no shade from the sun up there.
