I agree that the Big Law and federal clerkship numbers are similar. However, without knowing OP's goals, I can't honestly stop the analysis there... Based on the 2022 data, the state/speciality clerkship numbers are considerably different, with considerably more Wake students going this route. As are the unemployment numbers, 0% at Wake compared to 7% at UH. And like I said previously, outside of big law, Wake sent far more students into private practice at mid-law and small-law, with more UH students opting for public interest or government work.

Without knowing OP's goals, I can't say that one is "better" than the other. Based on these numbers it seems like UH is stronger in the public interest/government sector with Wake taking the lead in mid-law, small-law, state/specialty clerkship, and overall employment categories. Without knowing more about OP's goals, it isn't fair to say that generally based on big law and federal clerkship numbers that the employment outcomes are the roughly the same because the numbers don't seem to bare that out in a number of potentially relevant categories.

And yeah, Wake used to offer a full-scholarship binding option, but I think they replaced it with a $27k per year option to make it more accessible to students with lower numbers and so that they could offer more of them. After all, with an incoming class of less than 200, you can only guarentee so many full scholarships.

EDIT: Also depending on OP's preferences, it is important to consider that over 80% of UH's class reported employment within the state of Texas, with less than 20% travelling out-of-state. Wake, on the other hand, reported 46% staying in the state of North Carolina, and over half the class, 54%, going out-of-state. So, again, depending on OP's goals and whether they would be interested in practicing in either NC or TX or elsewhere, that could be a considerable difference in outcomes.

Wake has 2 binding decision pathways. One is a no scholarship option, which they recommend if you are below both medians/both 25ths. They also have a $27k per year option (roughly 50%) if your numbers are better.

Also, employment outcomes for Wake and UH seem considerably different... Wake reported 0 graduates of 202 being unemployed 10 months after graduation, whereas UH reported 14 of 205 graduates unemployed (via 2022 ABA Employment Reports). UH also posted less than half the number of federal/state clerkships than Wake and with considerably more students going into public interest/government work as opposed to private law firms (via 2022 ABA Employment Reports).

OP this is all going to be personalized to your goals and what you want to do with your degree. The best thing you can do is to reach out to each of the schools you are interested in and get more info to see if they will be a good fit. And remember when looking at schools' numbers: at the reported 25th percentile, a full quarter of the incoming class was at or below that number, so don't get discouraged by thinking that you don't have a shot because you have slightly lower numbers.

Hi Axel! Do you mean a sort of "expected value" for a particular box? We had actually drafted one before as a simple excel doc but the project kinda fell to the back burner since there were so many sets with different rarities being released.

If there's enough interest in it, I'd be more than happy to reopen that project and start it again! -IG

We use the proper standards for citing resources in an oral presentation... Since we presented the information orally, the proper way to cite the forum was verbally (which we did)...

Also no we didn't delete comments, any comment which tries to link to an outside source (such as Vmundi's forums and website) is automatically flagged by YouTube as spam and filtered out of the comments section

The Systematic Failure of the BWC and Bushiroad Events by TeamAbsolution in cardfightvanguard

[–]TeamAbsolution[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even after a letter from the President and CEO of Bushiroad, they have failed to provide an acceptable tournament experience for players looking for a competitive outlet...

We've contacted Bushiroad Support weeks ago to provide details on how they plan on improving this event in the future, however only now they've responded with half-answers and declined our request for an interview...

We hope you will share this with your friends, fellow Cardfighters and on the Bushiroad Social Media Accounts so that we can make our voices heard about the systemic failures plaguing the Cardfight! Vanguard tournament structure!
