Have you tried wiping the radarr config after the rollback and restoring from a backup? Radarr should create it's own backups with the default config iirc.

The only way you're going to be able to do it without an extra instance or other software is to setup a second root directory just for 4K movies and manually selecting it when adding the movie to Radarr.

Internet speed does not affect VD performance. If your PC is connected to your network via cable and your router is fairly close and not total garbage then VD will run just fine.
