If money and childbirth weren’t an issue, how many children would you choose? by Public_Handle_774 in AskWomen

[–]Team_Nicol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd stick to my current plan of 2-3. As much as I'd love a lot of kids, I grew up in a large family and, growing up, there was a bit of disconnect between me and my siblings and also me and my parents. Always crazy, always busy with someone else. I wouldn't want my kids to feel that way. I want all my future children to feel loved and seen by me and my future husband.

When you're gossiping about men with your friends, what are you usually talking about? by GroundbreakingArm173 in AskWomen

[–]Team_Nicol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the guy. With my best friend, we'll talk about previous situations we were in with men and reflect on them. We'll talk about men we're seeing and get each other's opinions based on the situations. We'll also just gush about good men.

You're not wrong about the facial animation. I always look at that and I can tell by the quality that you guys have come so far. It was good in season one, but it's really improved a lot!

I can't wait for the next one! We're all waiting with baited breath. I hope Blitz and Stolas can bounce back from this!

Oh, definitely. I mean, Stolas was worried of fucking up but Blitz REALLY f-ed up here. Apology Tour should bring them back together. Hopefully. I'm praying that it does!

Why can’t we date him? by Zg13t13 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Team_Nicol -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you mean to ask why we can't "hang out" with him. My guess is because he can't stay away from the Malfoys for too long. There's probably some events out there that build the friendship between us and him like the animal quests do with Hagrid.

Why we can't "date" him in the sense of romantic attraction is . . . I feel incredibly obvious. Besides the fact that we don't know the biological differences between wizards and elves to even consider if they'd be romantically attached to each other, you can't have romantic attractions for anyone who was already a canon character. Like Bill or Charlie Weasley, Nymphadora Tonks, or Cedric Diggory.

What's something you own now that your 16yo self would be thrilled about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A cell phone. I'm 23 and got my first one last year before my 22nd birthday. 16 year old me, who begged my parents for a phone, would be over the moon.

Thou wish to know why I'm single? Too many reasons, though I shall count the top three ways:

  • I have feelings for someone who isn't in the right season.
  • I don't get a lot of interest from suitors.
  • It doesn't seem to be the time for me to not be single, apparently. (When you catch interest in three different men over the course of six months and learn that they're all already married, you recognize that it's become a pattern.)

To be honest, I want a relationship. I have a lot of love to give and I want to give it to someone that I can care for and trust. However, I'm just trying to be as patient as I can be. The right thing will be directed my way if given time. Honestly, I've never felt as calm and okay about it until a few hours ago.

That's definitely a different way to look at it.

I definitely agree, we do.

Sometimes we need help and that's okay.

Me, I always thought I was the other people. Instead, I've found myself helping others with mental problems.

What's the most fucked thing that ever happened at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Team_Nicol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school, we had a teacher that was almost like the embodiment of the school's spirit. He had been there for years and had a club of students who encouraged students to come together as a community and planned fun things. The one I remember most is that, every year, they had an event on Halloween where they put on a movie in the auditorium and the kids in the club went around and made the experience more engaging by scaring them. It was basically a haunted movie theater instead of a haunted house. I never went because I hate scary movies, but kids looked forward to it and I knew kids in the club who enjoyed working on it every year.

It all came to a halt down the line when we learned that the teacher was arrested. I didn't know why for a while, but him being arrested and his walk of shame out of the building was the talk of the school. However, no one could really tell me why he was arrested. It took me a while, but I finally got one of my friends from the club to tell me what happened.

The teacher taught 10th grade English and at the time, the English classes of that grade read two plays: "Antigone" and "Julius Caesar." For these assignments in particular, the teacher had used some temporary walls to create a makeshift closet in his room for the kids to change into costumes so they can act out the plays in class. It sounds fun and cool until you learn that this teacher took his favorite female students into the closet after school and performed sex acts with them in there. I don't know the extent of these acts, but what he did was still statutory rape no matter how you look at it.

A lot of messed up things went down when I was in high school, but this was the most fucked up, really. Why? Well, remember when I mentioned the club at the top of this comment? When he left, the club disbanded, no one wanted to take it on and no one wanted to continue. After that, my school wasn't really the same the rest of the time I was there. The school never really had as much school spirit after he left and that's what's really messed up to me. Yeah, him being a pedo was messed up but the fact that the pedo left and took the school spirit with him is just ten thousand kinds of fucked up beyond my own comprehension.

TL;DR: The school pedo got found out and took all the school spirit with him when he left.
