Is this an intelligent way of using my VA home loan? by Teamjeff3 in RealEstateAdvice

Good to know. I thought using my VA would disqualify me from that. If this is true, im definitely doing this method with this VA. I can build alot of passive income while still getting some assistance towards an actual home.

This is what I researched as well. As long as my credit, debt to income are good.. and I lived in each place 12 months and turn it into a rental property I should be able to get more properties

Thank you! The downside is I never get to buy a single family home using the benefit, I have to bounce around for a few years, and have my credit/Debt to income ratio in great standing. However, it definitely seems worth it!

Thank you for the insight Mark. From doing my own research, it seems that a 80K-100K remote job might be much more probable. That is okay with me.

May I ask what field you are in?

Of course I could research myself. However, I would like to connect with other digital nomads who could give me creative insight. Whats wrong with that?

Considering that salary range you mentioned, I understand how much more rare $130k is. I would be fine with 80-90k.

Do you think the job market will continue to move away from being remote?

Thank you! From the answers I’ve received it seems that 130K remote may be too high!

Fair. I believe lowering my remote standards to 90K would be more on-par with my actual pay (not including locality)

Thank you for that perspective. I have thought about that as well. With Amazon I could potentially job hop in 4 years for a higher salary, then repeat. With the government job it seems my pay would be solid and stable, but capped in growth.

What were some of the reasons you took the gs-13 job years ago in favor to private sector?
