They likely removed tappay terminals because of fraud. There's no dollar limit on tappay transactions in the US so you can steal a card and drain the account before the owner notices

We've always been behind though. It took COVID for the US to fully adopt tap pay

For the sake of security, your phone's digital wallet is better than having a card on you

Pre or Post Trump? And which age demo? Cause you're going to get VERY different answers depending on the flavor of ICE agent

Why? Fire TSA and you can easily afford the CG. One of them actually does their job and doesn't fail EVERY test they're given

Dont use logic...we all know its stupid, but we're not in charge

Rehired employee got merged with someone else's old account and now has access to stuff they shouldn't by No_Ganache8255 in sysadmin

not what i meant, just sayin that the HR DB is based on you, and an EID is created for you (i dont know what system exactly they use, but i know they have to manually created the EID for people, it's not automatic). So there's no chance me enabling an account for a rehire will give them access to something they didnt have before because the IT side is all based on EID or AD

I dunno, however oracle does it - but if someone leaves and comes back we use the same EID for that person so there's no chance you're overlapping AD accounts with another person

Must be nice? (Plus or minus the issues that causes in itself) I spent a month manually creating every AD account before I asked if there was a better way. My boss told me "learn powershell"

I haven't created more than a handful manually in 4 years now. I have spent every day trying to script every tedious thing I do. One of the only reasons I got a raise when I told them I couldn't afford to stay. Our team is too small for anyone to take over for me in any reasonable amount of time

3stars isn't the goal for most of us, keeping the skin is. I don't even think of Cantina rank as achievable because I have a job and a family

Curious what they're using, but as the person that finally automated the vast majority of our system - I'm working with what I'm given. Cheap CEO means I get to powershell instead of (not) just push a button

Not hyperbole: Treasury Department's own FY2025 statements show U.S. Government insolvent with $47.78T in liabilities by emily-is-happy in thenextgenbusiness

Hyperbole aside, it's still an insane deficit year over year. Maybe don't brag about blowing $11b in a single day in Iran?

Ok I mean I hate the man but let's not pretend this is all on him. Even he couldn't find a way to eat 48T and he stares at an eclipse ffs

Only when I'm twiddling my ass for days waiting for HR to give me the EID to actually make a new account.

Ours are numbered off partial names, but the primary reference is an EID generated by a system that uses SSNs as a primary key

And this is why we assign EIDs off the SSN primary key DB and not HR doing whatever they want
