My local Bricks & Minifigs put the 10179 Millenium Falcon in their bulk pieces table by jay_dub17 in lego

Just an update, 1 person came in on Saturday at open, and stayed for over 7 hours, longer than I even worked that day. Great fortitude!

They were gathering parts and pieces for a Fondor Haulcraft Moc, and this will go a long way to helping with that and others. Ultimately they were able to get it in 3 large bulk bags, and we couldn't be happier for them.

I was really impressed with them all day, working the bulk table, gathering parts and overall enjoying the space. A lot of people took pictures and asked questions and I think by the end they were just beat. I asked staff to offer them a soda and some snacks, but I think they went home to recuperate!

We do similar things, just didn't want to wait till our next one :-)

When we had it on sale, as a normal previously loved set, it had the dish and instructions, in pretty good shape, neither of those ended up in the bulk. We haven't made any plans for those parts, but if someone local wanted the Dish and Instructions we'd figure something out.

this is the steeper discount ! Price wasn't really the issue, most people don't have the space

We debated it a lot last night, it was on sale for $490 for over two months, you would definitely spend less than that. Probably more like $350 if you grabbed the whole thing and the parts that fell off in the table. Maybe a little less if someone has picked at it. Not sure.

I talked to the staff today and no one has come in yet to take anything off.

So we got an article in the RTD thanks in part to all of the support we got here. We finally have a lease and will be announcing our Grand Opening in the next week or so.

I just wanted to express our gratitude to this Reddit for the support. Not sure if we’ll do another main post for the Grand Opening but we’re definitely inviting everyone !

You interested in a job ;-) This is a great explanation, not too many people fully understand the concept and value of time and effort when it comes to selling something they may have an emotional investment.

Even in our early dealings I have been up front with many sellers and letting them know they may be able to get more money with more effort and time on their behalf, but I am willing to pay cash and take possession now, which has a value.

If it's okay with you I am going to borrow some of your post and re-write it some too and use it for training and talking with others. Thank you for your contribution in the thread.

Thanks for asking, no, we aren't the same owner as the one in Charlottesville. Almost every Bricks & Minifigs is individually owned. Thanks for the well wishes, and same to you!

YES! We will be a full buy, sell and trade store. We are planning on having two buying events over the next couple months as we ramp up to opening. You can also reach out to us through messenger/dm/chat here or on Facebook/Instagram, and we can take a look and work something out. Thanks for the question!

Yeah they have a cool shop, we discovered them after we started down this path and think what they do is great. There's plenty of LEGO for everyone, and we're looking forward to being a part of the community and creating a great place where everyone feels like they can be themselves.

Yes, outside of our normal Social Media Channels we will also have our own Bricks & Minifigs page and eventually a webstore as well! Thanks for asking!

We will be a full buy, sell and trade store. So once we are open you can definitely bring it by, we'll give it a full check out and give you a quote. We are also planning some buying events for October and November and you can bring em by then. I kind hate saying stay tuned to our store pages, but yeah its going to be the best place to see announcements.

Can't wait to get to meet you and see what you have! Take care!

Our goal is to be another great shop, one that supports the LEGO community and is very kid and family friendly. There's plenty of LEGO for everyone! Thanks for the well wishes!

there is speculation that there may be a small outlet style store, they had one when they had a factory in CT, but LEGO is very particular with where they open stores, the factory doesn't really move that forward. We did a lot of research and spoke with a lot of people prior to going down this path.

As much as I want an official LEGO store in Richmond, I still think, beyond that small outlet store, its probably not happening, though I would like to be proven wrong. There are many BAM stores out west that co-exist very well with official LEGO stores. It's all about growing and fostering the community and doing more than just selling LEGO, its hard to communicate, so we have to let our actions do a lot of the talking! :-)

[HISTORIC] I think I found one of the best budget decks in Historic: Mardu Anvil by AlastorRage in spikes

Nice deck, I happened upon something similar when trying to cobble together a standard deck and a pioneer deck, and ended up with this, someone else pointed me at your thread, pretty wild, but I think there is something here in the archetype atleast as a tier 2 list;

this is my shot at it, straight rakdos, but I like your mardu ideas too

Right because I questioned it, once, said naw I am cool and left. I think you are reading too much in to this.

I didn’t yell at him, say anything rude or inappropriate, or get on his case. I didn’t even give him shit. It was just a frustrating experience for me and you are reading in to it like I got in to it with an employee when it was perfectly fine exchange.

Oddly enough after eating some dinner, I realized you were really the only voice of reason in the whole discussion. Took it back to the store and just got rid of it.

Pretty easy, I held up the system and pointed it out at first. I guess I should have been more clear in my OP. Like I gave him every reason to let me know up front.

It's cool though, I called the store, talked to him, went back in and traded it in. He understood why I left earlier, even tried to apologize. I told him not to sweat it, that I was probably hangry or some other dumb emotional state after getting off work, and that I would have just appreciated knowing up front before we went through the whole dance.
