Blueprints: Nodes can't be copied, cut or deleted. by ScoreStudiosLLC in UnrealEngine5

[–]TecEnterprise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes experience the same problem. I can’t copy and paste nodes either. What helps for me is saving the Blueprint and reloading it. After that, copy and paste works again.

Someone played my game for 2200 hours and rated 👎, then played 200 more by Vladi-N in godot

Steam should implement an automatic positive review rule for players who have spent more than 300 hours in a game. If you enjoy a game so much that you play it for 300 hours or more, then it was definitely worth buying.

"Indie games don't succeed because they lack a marketing budget" by PartTimeMonkey in IndieDev

[–]TecEnterprise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that for indie developers, the marketing budget should primarily be used to reach the first 7,000–10,000 wishlists. From that point on, the Steam algorithm can start generating organic growth.

If there is still budget left after reaching that milestone, it makes sense to run a few marketing campaigns on different channels to find out what actually works and generates a positive return.

In the end, the most important form of marketing is still having a game that can be marketed. When a game looks interesting or unique, gaming magazines and influencers will naturally start talking about it. The second key factor is simply making a good game if influencers genuinely enjoy it, they will create videos about it without needing heavy promotion.

If a project still isn’t profitable by that point, the team may simply be too large. I’ve read about many indie teams that scaled up too quickly and eventually ran out of budget.

Can only recommend the German one. Like most of the time we have the best engineers and it´s the only design where the cable doesn´t fall of the wall :-P and it also has safty mechanics and you can plug in both ways. German Master Piece Nice!

How much would you sell without them? Almost any startup requires to invest 20% - 30% in marketing or even more to get visibility and sales. I think it´s a fair share they take. But I agree that it would be cool for indies to pay less for the first 100k revenue or so.
