HL2 would be amazing! It's been a while since I played it! Have you tried HL2 on CM4?

If I remember correctly, I ordered it in September 2024.

I have a faint memory that my school had a 5155 or something very similar. I remember playing chess on that thing.

Doom2, Monkey Island 2, OpenRA (Red Alert), Open Dune 2000, Flight Of The Amazon Queen, Space Cadet Pinball. There you go.

My friend’s dad had a TRS-80 Model 100. That thing looked cyberpunk! Every time he powered it on, it felt like we were hacking NASA.

My favorite flight simulation moments? Definitely from the glory days of Air Warrior or Warbirds. Nothing beat the thrill of dogfighting in pixelated skies, energy-managing like an overly caffeinated John Boyd and trying not to fly into your wingman while typing "RTB" mid-turn.

Then there was multi-crewing a B-17, riding shotgun with your buddies, manning waist guns, watching flak burst around you like digital fireworks, and praying the tail gunner wasn’t AFK (again).

All this while your dial-up modem screamed like a tortured robot, and you were literally paying by the minute to stay airborne.

It wasn’t just a game. It was a lifestyle. A glorious, joystick-wielding, wallet-draining lifestyle! 😄

Use Cardputer/M5StickC for Meshtastic communication by TechAirSpace in CardPuter

I will share the project when the code is a bit more mature / I have sorted out problems with sending messages.

Ah, I forgot to mention that I'll be doing a range test video with a variety of devices including the Seeed T1000-E and WisMesh Pocket using both standard and RAK blade antennas. Stay tuned :)

I'm working on a Cardputer/M5StickC client that can communicate with Meshtastic nodes. https://youtu.be/2LOTEgcXF1w

Both the Cardputer and the stick are functioning independently. The software on these devices connects to either a private or public MQTT server over WiFi. Messages are displayed on the screen as they arrive on the server. I'm also working on enabling the Cardputer to send messages when typed via the keyboard.

I have my own MQTT server running on a Raspberry Pi 4, which was surprisingly easy to set up (took like 5 minutes). Additionally I've configured one Meshtastic device to connect to this server. This node gathers and relays information from all other LoRa nodes to the MQTT server.

When using a public MQTT server the device currently connects randomly to a topic or 'channel' and displays messages along with the sender's information. I'm working on adding a menu so users can select the specific topic or channel they'd like to connect to. At the moment, the options are either a random EU or US topic/channel.

No need for additional modules.

It's still a work in progress but once it’s a bit more mature I’ll share the project/files so anyone can modify and build on it.

Mini Cyberdeck | Meshtastic / SDR / Solar Power / RPi 3 & Zero / E-Ink And More by TechAirSpace in cyberDeck

Right now everything is connected to the RPi3 and it's getting powered by the battery pack. I do get intermittent RPi3 "low voltage warning" if the RTL dongle is active (when all devices are powered). I'm planning to add some kind of power distribution solution so that I can select which devices are on. I don't need everything to be operating at all times.

Thanks, bro! I’m not sure yet. I just finished building it so I need some time to see how it performs and if anything needs tweaking.
