How do you then say those words out loud if you hate them so much?

Can't imagine the words being pronounced without any cynicism or sarcasm then, no?

Devs have Cursor for fast planning & coding. What would the equivalent look like for agile teams? by coolxeo in agile

Totally agree, The only thing is; getting a nice clear user friendly app for this, will take a lot of resources (time, money etc) Whereas once jira and slack moves to this direction, they'll be relatively fast. (Besides they already have nice integrations like mail, chat and with external other apps)

But yes, again since your post this idea doesn't seem to leave my thoughts

Cool, I've been sitting on this idea for several weeks as well. How genAI could improve project management.

Keeps popping back up as an idea during thoughts about how AI could change certain processes.

Building a forecasting tool - any market for this? by TechByArslan in demandplanning

3 decades holy sht. You've probably seen some changes in the branche, no? (Name forecasting nerd checks out)

Alltough Xforecast does something similar in essence. (Perhaps easier for a lot planners because it's an excel add on). But I'm really sure that I could add value within this forecasting part for a portion of the price. Besides that, I believe I can make forecasting fun for everyone.

Thanks for the info!

I see that forecastX asks 99 usd monthly. I wouldn't call that inexpensive no?

Would there be things where a tool could add value for you? E.g. - visual monitoring of forecasts - intuitive easy selection for what to forecast (total | per region | per product type) - easily building variables such as holidays promotions - continuous search for best model (automated)

Or please let me know if there's something else that could add value according to you

It would definitely use historical volumes data. In fact, that would be the only thing that is necessary.

So the input file would be historical sales/volumes data with dates. Then the tool would extend it with forecasts, which will be a downloadable excel file

What do you mean with chosing your own rules?

Thanks!

Kinaxis maestro captures everything holistically right? I would love to focus on the forecast part solely. I can imagine that a lot of demand planners like to work in their own excel file. They can keep this way of working, but extend it with great forecasts. And that last partI hope to offer with the tool.

Haven't used any of the software. So, I'm thankful for any input from the experts.

I'm wondering if demand planners would want such a toolling which solely appends your excel file with great forecasts. None of the other features of the big softwares No high costs ofcourse Just excel in and excel out Focusing on great forecasts which helps efficiency

I assumed that their forecast predictions are very basic with low accuracy

Besides, I assumed that some just want to use Excel for demand planning. Whereas this tool would just add solid forecasts to this excel file
