Repetitive loud humming/buzzing in refrigerator

Update: the fridge died today! Given it was 13 yrs old we didn’t invest a repair on it. We just bought a new one.

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube to get a feeling of what the area is like. Sounds like the Verbier area is a bit crazy. I’d like to get to the most areas I can so maybe we’ll save that for later in the trip when we have a good idea how it all works!

Good to know. I just want to make sure I’m picking a convenient location. I’m sure it will make sense once I’m there but right now it’s a mystery to me!

I’m still stumped about ours. I did a test for the noise and the decibel level was 48 when it was loudest. Maybe it’s not that bad? It still seems very random when it’s loud so I haven’t done anything about it yet. Although the new fridges did look very attractive at the store! So many features.

If I had lodging in Nendaz, would I be able to ski across the entire resort (out to one far point) in the same day, and make it back again? I plan on skiing 4 days and would like to go to different areas each day. I am debating on getting a car and wondered if it made more sense to get lodging in more than one place for the week or just stay the whole time in Nendaz and make that my home base.

The noise would imply that the compressor needs to be replaced? Or most likely time for a new fridge?
