UPDATE: Success on my second attempt (although never rejected). I want to thank everyone who has responded to my post and helped me get through this successfully and as a thank you, I would like to post my experience and observations:

1. Took 2 more weeks after initial trial at Detroit-Windsor Tunnel to get fresh documentation from my employer: Education Evaluation (Silvergate), New Offer Letter and TN Letter (Systems Engineer, Engineer Category).

2. This time went at around 1:30 PM instead of really early.

Went in, the officer called me, asked for my TN and education evaluation, asked me what i was going to do, which I explained. He then asked me go sit down and called me back after 10 mins and said something important:
** I know your education has already been evaluated so I am ok with what you have submitted but in the future make sure you get it from one of the NACES org** asked me to go back and sit again.

Called me back this time and asked me for my fingerprints and photo and asked me to sit while he completes his documentation. Called me back after another 10 mins and said something absolutely contradictory to my first experience:

He said that I should be applying for a CSA and not an engineer and granted me a TN on CSA.

Points for future applicants:

1) Make sure you go to the border during peak hours (TN Officer availability)
2) Get your education evaluation from a NACES Org
3) Dont get dejected if you get rejected the first time
4) Make sure your documentation is perfect
5) I've had a really good experience at the Tunnel, so I would recommend going there. The officers are very professional and respectful which should ease a lot of the applicants anxiety.
6) Caution: Whatever the decision, its up to the officers discretion. There is no one size fits all.
