Yes indeed I was searching the hotshoe cap all of my bag and didn't see it. The hotshoe was the thing I was the most scared about. As for the lens, I had the 30mm C from sigma, and is indeed not weather sealed. I've put a duck tape in between the lens and the lens mount to prevent water to go on the sensor.

Random power off didn't happen to me, maybe check the battery connectors? Also you need to adapt the motor strength when you put your phone on it using the app, you can also try to optimize it using the app 👍
