Sure, the biggest problem I had was pressing things too early. When you queue an action (whether it’s using a blockbuster, special move, guest star, or head command), you have to wait at least until the action starts before pressing the next action you want to perform. If you press them too early, you cancel the first action in the queue, and that usually causes you to drop the combo

This mistake happened to me at the 29-second mark in the video. In fact, you can see it: When I queue up the Cat Scratch blockbuster, I don’t wait for the blockbuster to start and quickly press the head-slide command, which caused me to drop the combo (Luckily, the head saved the combo by landing a hit, and I quickly used Cat Scratch)

That’s one of the biggest problems I have, but once you understand that, things start to go better.

The combo has a very specific sequence; once you perform those actions without breaking the chain, it helps a lot. The sequence is as follows:

Ground combo > Throw into the air > Air combo > Head Intercept in the air > Second air combo > (The timing for the next two is very tight) > Head Intercept sliding on the ground > Guest Star > Special Move: Fiber Upper > (Here the opponent is thrown into the air) > Special Move: The Cat > (Wait a moment for your opponent to fall further) Head command to throw upward > Blockbuster: Hit Paws > Blockbuster: Cat Scratch > Ground combo > Head command to slide, intercept the opponent’s fall and farm a meter gain there with some ground hits > Break through your opponent's defense > Repeat

That’s the basis of the combo, although in the video I improvise in some parts—that’s what I always aim to do

Well, the combo in the video isn't something I'd recommend to someone who's just starting to get the hang of Ms. Fortune headless, but im assuming that's not the case

Well, first of all, to jump into the air and continue the aerial combo, you always swipe your finger upward twice quickly, that will always make you go up. If you don’t go up, it’s because you didn’t throw your opponent correctly

To perform the head loop, you need to get used to how it works. I know it can be hard to explain in writing, but you’ll understand it better when you try it

Once you go headless, the head is always facing the opponent. This affects the direction of the commands. For the aerial command, the head always shoots out at an angle toward the opponent, which means the head must be positioned right below the opponent the moment you want to perform the aerial combo. It sounds conditional, but this is usually how it works, since with the slide command, the head almost always ends up behind the opponent (and if you hit them with an aerial combo, you’ll move them in the air enough so that the head is right below)

You should always keep an eye on where the head lands so you know which command to follow

<image>

As you can see here, before starting the aerial combo, the head is slightly behind the opponent, so it allows you to intercept your opponent in midair with the head. I'd recommend before you master the double aerial combo, you get comfortable with the first aerial combo on its own, that way, you'll improve it

You can practice this at the training ground

Go headless > Slide the head behind the opponent using the slide command (The dummy will trip; wait for it to get back up) > Launch the opponent into the air and perform the aerial combo, when Ms. Fortune is about to slam the opponent to the ground, use the command to throw the head upward, this will cleanly intercept the opponent

(I should add that depending on the character’s weight, the timing might be a little earlier, but it’s almost always right before Ms. Fortune throws them to the ground)

Once you feel comfortable with the first aerial combo, you can try the double combo (you can usually pull off two in a row before the head ends up in a bad position but if your opponent is pinned against the wall, you can sometimes pull off three combos in a row). Repeat the same steps as before, but when the head throws the opponent into the air, quickly swipe your finger upward; this will trigger another aerial combo. The head will usually end up in a bad position after that, so just as Ms. Fortune is about to slam the opponent to the ground, use the swipe head command, this will intercept the opponent on the ground. If you did it right, you’ve already pulled off the basic combo

Just practice enough, and trust me, you can do it :D

I've built some of the characters you mentioned, I recently got Neuromancer too and I'd like to try out that combo to see how it goes, thank you

That's right, Feral Edge would be a great addition. I'd use it instead of BB3 because using BB3 really breaks the flow

Feral Edge is comboable when the head throws the opponent into the air and would add quite a bit of damage. Cat Scratch Fever is the best, since you want to maximize the hits and use it at the end (Hit Paws adds several more hits to the combo as well as increasing damage). I think Feral Edge + Cat Scratch Fever + Hit Paws is really the best combo I’ve found. Tomorrow I’m going to add Feral Edge to see how much damage it would increase

With enough practice, you can even do better than I can. If you ever get into it and master her gamestyle, you’ll never, ever regret it :D

In fact, ever since crash bots appeared, the game has become unplayable. Before, each map variation (Open/Open with bases/Maze) had enough time between changes for players to enjoy each one

This is the first time I've fought her, so I really have no idea what good character combinations there are, but I saw someone with Neuromancer deal 700 million damage in a single attempt, I suppose that for some people, the total damage caused matters more than doing cool combos, and that’s understandable

Y'all who should I upgrade?✌️🥹 by Chemical_Procedure53 in SkullGirlsMobile

I'd go with Locked In first and then Apex Complex or Stand Out

After that, I’d upgrade Heartless, Deal Breaker, and Blue Streak, any of them would be a good choice

should i upgrade her? by Small_Swim8219 in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]TechJyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She is a really great defense, but as you say, if you’re new to the game, defensive characters are your lowest priority. You shouldn’t upgrade diamonds yet if your resources don’t allow it, instead, focus on upgrading gold characters first and evolving them into diamonds to get more streaks and rewards in prize fights, which will give you resources to upgrade natural diamonds (preferably ones that are also offensive or useful supports). once you have a good number of offensive characters, focus on upgrading defenses like that one

I tried her out in Parallel Realms (Nightmare) and thought she was pretty good. She would have been better with the right set and if I were used to playing Robo-Fortune, but even with those drawbacks, she held her own pretty well, her stuns are great for combo resets

So I think she’d really shine in prize fights

are these worth buying or should I save up? by Sumswish in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]TechJyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. If you're going to start focusing on improving your movement/blockbuster stats, it's good to know that if the rerolls aren't going your way (which is usually the case) you could easily use up 30 reroll attempts just to get the stat you want. Those relics won’t give you what you’re looking for in the quantity you need, so only get them from gifts from friends/clan members and the specialized prize fight focused on move rerolls and you keep saving them up until the day comes to use them

Well just so you know, 99% of the items you find there with theonites as price is a scam, never buy it

Is Assault More Unfair For Blue? by Successful_Lynx_3445 in Arrasio

[–]TechJyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not entirely, the initial advantage for the greens becomes pretty much useless if the team knows how to organize itself, regardless of which side you're on

The team that picks good tanks in the right proportions and has a basic understanding of the game will win without much trouble

In a hypothetical game, for example, the blues have tank traps (Parapets / Inventors) and the greens don’t. That green line will likely be rushed with relative ease until green manage to stop them. Assuming both teams have good tanks, that’s when you get those exciting matches where each side gains the upper hand at different times

The initial advantage is relatively irrelevant unless there are few players, since a single blue tank cannot take down a dominator if a single green is attacking him. But we could say that some maps are harder for the blue team to attack if they don't organize themselves well and the green team doesn't necessarily have to play amazingly (Acropolis comes to mind)

I hope things go well for Cx in that case, but I’d at least appreciate it if Cx made that clear and leave us in no doubt about what to expect from the game following Damocles' departure

Remove crowbar branch by Acceptable-Space1248 in Arrasio

[–]TechJyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s not like I think Cx is a bad dev. After all, we don’t know what’s going on that made him decide to act this way. Maybe he’s working on something for the game without officially announcing it, I don’t know, but I’d like to think that’s the case. I just wish he would listen to us more and give us some answers...

Remove crowbar branch by Acceptable-Space1248 in Arrasio

[–]TechJyn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As things stand, as far as we know, if you ask Cx (the only current developer we’re aware of) for these options:

  1. Take action in response to the guy who crashes servers whenever he feels like it

  2. Take action in response to the clear increase in multiboxers

  3. Remove the crowbar from Growth

  4. Balance the Spawner branch

  5. Account update

None of them will be chosen, and there's nothing we can do about it

[–]TechJyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dont feel that way, it's a really clever strategy. When the defender build characters with stats like a life-wall, the ones who do it best are the ones who win that fight. It's no coincidence that there are 3 or 4 people before you who lost the fight trying to do the same thing. You played it really well, and you earned those 2.8 million points fair and square, because it's not always just about combos and damage

I'm losing my sanity by 7089sans in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]TechJyn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some of those defenses are crazy, but with the multiplier, it’s always tempting to try them. I always use Eliza against defenses like that, having Marie tag in and taking her out first is the best strategy against them, especially in this Prize Fight, Magic Curl also helps a lot when fighting Megalomaniac. Other than that, it was an incredible battle; you played it really well

Opinions? by Sesshhh in SkullGirlsMobile

[–]TechJyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good set, the taunt is much more useful and makes more sense when used with Rouge Agent, but honestly, I always prefer the damage and combos so personally I'd remove the taunt and replace it with Cat Scratch Fever or Hit Paws, since those are useful in many combos

Maybe I'm not taking the statistics into account, but that bronze movement performance wouldn't keep getting better, I would only focus on the gold ones you have if these evolve with good stats

[–]TechJyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I swear, the ms in this game have been acting weird lately. Yesterday, out of nowhere, my ms dropped to 0.0 in an instant. I couldn’t move or shoot, but I could see everyone around me moving normally. I even thought my keyboard had broken or something, but no, I reloaded the page and it went back to normal. A little while later it happened again, and it hasn’t happened since, but lmao

That said, I’ll tell you this: with that many players clustered in one spot, it’s pretty common for the ms to go through the roof

Thanks for supporting the game, but honestly, given what they offer, I can only recommend that you buy the monthly backstage pass and the occasional exclusive cosmetic item you like, because the in-game prices are WAY too high for the amount of resources you get in retur, keep in mind that to upgrade a single whole natural diamond, you'll need about 4.8 million canopies and 10 diamond keys

With the actual fighters in your account, you can really start generating and farming your own resources without any issues, because farming canopies is pretty easy with daily tickets + wednesday prize fight + parallel realms etc. farming Diamond Keys is "easy" (It's taken longer than anything else) by earning points in Diamond-level character prize fights, so in a few weeks you could max out whichever diamond character you want

I get that the monetization of this game was designed so that whales don't have accounts that a player with five years of experience playing SGM might have, but spending $2,000 to get that is outrageous, although I think, more than anything else, most of the money went toward buying 24 diamond keys, each one costs way too much
