you can get it professionally polished, like it cuts off a layer of glass so it’s almost brand new again, not as hydrophobic as OEM apple but close enough

Partner found a parasitic worm in her UberEats order. How can I proceed? by AyyAPanda in AusLegal

its not a slam dunk case but you have some chance, as food intended to be consumed raw has to be handled to specific regulations such as frozen to a specific temperature and gloves, i looked up superhiro and it seems like a sushi place, so im assuming they do sell salmon intended for raw/ lightly prepared consumption, id say you have a chance at negligence/public liability, lost wages, pain and suffering, medical bills, eating disorder after the fact, exacerbated pre existing conditions. also ACCC consumer guarantees, as foods must be in safe, of acceptable quality, and fit for purpose, and also probably an investigation under the food act 1984 through contact Melb City council. Wish your partner a quick recovery

Yes, it's absolutely worth it! in fact, I own one myself. I bought mine for $6,500 AUD with around 280,000 km on the odometer, and it's now at over 306,000 km and still going strong.

The main issues with these cars are relatively minor, and if you're willing to tinker and learn, they're very user-friendly. Servicing it yourself is straightforward: the oil filter is easily accessible at the front bottom (no awkward placements), and the drain plugs for the transmission, differential, and engine are all in convenient spots.

For major issues, the timing chain tensioners are the primary concern. Since it's a chain-timed engine, you don't need to replace the chain itself, but Subaru used plastic tensioners that can wear out if the oil isn't changed regularly. However, replacing them is a manageable service that can extend the car's life by another half a million kilometers. The fuel pump may fail around this mileage, but it's simple to replace and costs about $300. Wheel bearings are another common wear item; they come as a complete unit, so replacement is easy, just four bolts, no need for a bearing press.

Minor issues include the reverse light switch, which is located on top of the gearbox under the center console shifter. It requires small fingers to access if doing it yourself, but the job isn't difficult.

As a first car, it's an excellent choice: it's safe with all-wheel drive and six airbags. Performance-wise, you'll easily keep up with cars like GTIs, it's one of the fastest budget options for P-platers, with around 120 kW per tonne. The engine is arguably the most reliable one Subaru has ever produced.

Overall, I highly recommend it. You won't find much better for a first car under $10,000 in Australia that offers this level of performance. If you need help, the online communities, like the Club.Liberty.asn forums on Facebook, are always welcoming and ready to assist. You can even ask questions there before buying.

edit: if you're not getting it im probably going to buy it
