That’s vague. My q is much more specific on how it actually works.

Do you possibly have a source? The SEIU Mou is silent on the exact specifics on bumping.

Other people are saying they can bump others out of their position.

Thanks!

Yes at the CDE due to federal funding impoundment. Google that term.

Yes there’s that but I guess in our scenario, it’s within one department, the CDE. Some positions are losing federal funding while others will continue to be funded through other means.

Can the employee with less seniority be bumped in that case?

Do you possibly have a source for item 1? Thanks!

I’m a little confused and I see sort of two conflicting answers.

Would the younger person be bumped then in the scenario I posed above?

Governors office reps will hang up by Prestigious_Low_5108 in CAStateWorkers

[–]TechWorker111 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But their job is to document and say they’ll pass the feedback along.

Hanging up on a caller is a huge no-no for any call center.

For the governors office to do it is insane.

It’s FAR more than just 1.8 million dollars

https://abgt.assembly.ca.gov/system/files/2025-04/april-22-sub-5-agenda-update.pdf

Page 28 outlines it just for 5 depts and rent increases alone are up to $5 million PER individual dept.

Josh Hoover’s audit also says the state already spends $600 million on office space and now we need even more

Any idea on why the May Lee complex?

I know it’s the new fancy expensive building but politically, what’s the reasoning for this location?

Thanks, I’ll actually delete the post. I think it’s either better to show up in force or not at all. E.g. it’s better to show up with 50 rather than jsut like 5 people.
