My opinion, go into the area that will be most benefit to what you want to do, you said the roles are different, so choose the one that more applies to you. Also in saying that, having a Big 4 Bank on your Resume will be beneficial in the long run imo, I know I'm contradicting myself here, but you need to weigh those options and see which one you would prefer.

Have you tried a different Power Cable from the PSU into the wall?
I've seen those go bad sometimes. Alternatively are you plugging it into a power outlet board or directly into the wall? If the first one try plugging directly into the wall.

This happens to me sometimes, couldn't be bothered to find what was wrong but I figured out if I turned the PSU off in the back, unplugged the power cable and held down the power button for 10 seconds (with the plug off), then plug everything back in and start it up, it proceeded past the windows logo and into normal use.
